Observations, that sending off was a bit BS wasn't it? Oh and do NOT back Bournemouth for the title.

Firstly, although the Angella incident was never a red card let's not overlook how terrible his effort of a 'tackle' was in the first place.

Secondly, Hoban is a boy with no muscle or grit. If you're going to be a good Championship centre back then you have to have a bit of brawn and grittiness about you. You NEED to be intimidating and unpleasant to play against. Hoban is about as intimidating as a gaggle of baby geese.

We simply cannot afford to be relying on a skinny soft young player at this crucial stage of the season who gets pushed off of the ball so easily.

Not going to knock players for being screwed over by an incompetent...actually lets call it what it is ... biased.... ref

Bmuff weren't any better than us in the opening 20, in fact I'd say we looked the better side which makes me optimistic for the run in, plenty of games to go

Also pretty clear both Derby and Boro are better than Bmuff, if there's any justice in the world it will be them and us up

Pudil is a lucky boy. That was a red card all day long.

What is this Bournemouth conspiracy theory?

    Derby and Boro are better.

FFP will catch up with them hopefully.

    Bunch of cheating Nigels.

Cheated by the referee. Farcical decision that cost us at least a point against what is a bang average side that gets more than their fair share of favourable decisions.

Looks to me that Bournemouth will walk it regardless that this was against ten. Better than Derby and Boro and us even with eleven I would say.

2nd visit in 2 seasons where we have been harshly dealt with the officials at this ground.

Sorry but Bournemouth will not finish league leaders and I actually fancy us to be above them by the end of the campaign

Toszer has lost "it," Pudil never had "it" and Layun is supposed to have loads if "it," but seems to have left "it" all in Mexico.

We were robbed, but several players weren't top drawer for us today.

Agree. Everyone saying they look average, but then so is every team in this league. Bournemouth are organised, balanced and play together. And they're top. What more could you ask for? I can only assume it is bitterness, because they deserve to be where they are.

If Bournemouth are the league leaders then I am still confident that we are in with a shout for promotion. Its an absolute farce that such a bang average team are top of the league, we more than matched them with only 10 men with what was an absolutely atrocious sending off. How the **** is he a premier league ref? Completely ruined the game. Our fans were fantastic once again, there are many games left so this is far from over!!!

Thye only managed one goal against a back four of Anya, Hoban, Cathcart and Pudil. They will not go up.

So pissed off. Look forward to games all week then it's ruined within 26 seconds.

Thought we did ok considering, they were always going to win after that red card. Hoban and Pudil poor.

Hope that will fire up our players.

A note for Bournemouth. Really don't like them, their fans or players. Seem to be a scummy bunch. Much rather Derby or Boro beat them to the top two if we don't.

Great attendance figure as well. Great credit to the travelling support. Never heard the home 'support' until the second goal.

Missed the first couple of minutes, but did Angella actually touch the ball before getting sent off?

Oh God if only. I used to think Italian defenders were the mutt's nuts. Since the appearance of Cassetti and Angella I've realised they're just petulant children. If you're going to get sent off, the victim should be right next to you on a stretcher.

The only player they had who looked decent was the No.7 - Pugh.

Are you watching struggling Premier League teams? Window closing soon, snap him up.

Didn't stand a chance after 30 seconds had elapsed. Mr Probert - what an absolute waste of space you are in the game. Quite how officials expect to be defended when they still produce decisions like that.
    1) The ball was in Gomes' hands by the time Wilson hit the deck - he was never getting onto it.
    2) Cathcart is a good two yards goalside of Wilson, who lost his momentum trying to ride Angella's tackle, so even if he had stayed on his feet he wouldn't have got to the ball before Cathcart shepherds it behind.
    3) Probert has a perfect position to see all of this and a linesman to consult further. Err on the side of caution in the first couple of minutes rather than depriving everybody of the 'superb game of attacking football' they had longed to see from both sides? Or not... that'd be silly of course.

It's really time video refereeing came into the game to help out in these situations - he should have had to come out and explain his decision at half time or after the game.

Aside from that, I thought we tactically lost it after 30 minutes, up to which point we were still the better side. Sat far too deep and just let them have it, never looked a genuine threat aside from Watson's chance.

If you want to "take the positives", being down to 10 men for almost the entire game and only losing 2-0 (including a penalty) to a free-scoring Bournemouth was a great defensive performance. Gomes MotM for me. Our away fans were first class (do Bournemouth only have one chant?)

Well I think both sets of fans were of the opinion before the game that this should have been an absolute cracker for the neutrals.

Unfortunately the referee ruined what should have been an end-to-end thriller. I hope he's happy.

I can't fault the players. I thought they gave it everything. Just two things I'd like to bring up and that's that Pudil was poor ever since he came on, and Daniel Tozser? Dearie me. When is he going to learn to keep possession? That was a farcical lack of control from him in the first minute that led to Angella getting sent off. I can thoroughly understand now why Joka wants another CM, and another CB also. Time to drop Tozser for a while.

You can already guess then that whilst I was happy to see Vydra on, there's no way I agree with Joka taking Ighalo off (whom I thought was excellent tonight) over Tozser.

I would add that I didn't think much of Bournemouth tonight. Their forward play in the 2nd half was good but it took them way too long to realise that they had a 1 man advantage. Yes they're top of the league right now but I'm not backing them to win it. Derby and Middlesbrough have both impressed me more and I suspect both Bournemouth and Watford will end up in the playoffs.

Angella's challenge was a yellow but no way in absolute hell was that a straight red. Cathcart's challenge was a clumsy one though and think the penalty was a fair decision. Pudil's tackle was shocking and shows why he shouldn't be in the team. Still rate Cathcart though!

Oh and another thing about Bournemouth. You're top of the league despite having a 12k ground and living a ground but didn't hear your fans all night. You're living the dream! Show some passion why don't you? Can't wait for the media to give Eddie Howe a bukkake tomorrow. Strangely they'll forget how much money Bournemouth spent to get to where they currently are.

They dominated us. They hit the bar, pulled a handful of saves out of Gomes and controlled possession. Sure, having one less man is tough work, but we barely mustered up a single real opportunity. I can absolutely see why they are leading the league.

That was extremely unjust to say the least.

Thought Bournemouth were pretty shocking considering they had 11 men for the entire game. I can't think of a single decision that went against them and if the ref had favoured us as much as he did them, they could have had at least 3 sent off.

Pudil definitely deserved to walk for his challenge near the end of the game. The fact he didn't even get booked sums up how awful the ref was.

I was a long way from impressed by Bournemouth tonight and I think we'd have got a result with 11 men. Unfortunately they were handed 3 points inside the first 26 seconds by yet another awful decision against us. The team was understandably tired by the second half and it's so surprise we faded.

The only consolation is that there are still more than enough games to make up the gap between us and first. I thought we looked pretty good with 10 men until the first goal, and while it's scant consolation, it's something. The team did seem to work hard and hopefully this result will make them even more determined.

Some people are having a laugh here. Red card ruined the game but Bournemouth are excellent. Attack with pace, extremely organised and creative. Howe has a solid team there. I can't seem them falling away.

    Hard to judge with 11 v 10.

It seems to me that officials in most sports are puffed up,self important, mealy mouthed nitwits who can't play nor teach and on tonight's evidence, can't officiate!
