Big Fat Sam's England

The FA should take a pretty dim view, considering their stance on corruption at FIFA, on one of their employees explaining and accepting a highly paid role to tell someone how to circumvent their glorious rules to prevent corruption.

If he gets away with it, which he shouldn't, it's simply because they don't have anyone to replace him. Which speaks volumes for the bottom of the barrel levels of credibility the FA have domestically and on the world stage.

Just bin him off. He's slagged off his predecessor and his employer, whored himself around to shady businessmen in order to top up his £3 million a year salary and offered advice on bypassing his employer's anti-corruption rules. Sounds like a slam dunk for gross misconduct.

Then maybe we could get a coach who won't play Rooney in midfield and put Rashford in the u21s.

a few years back fat Sam and Fergie were taking bungs left, right and centre. Isn't his son a dodgy football agent?

The utter irony is, if he keeps his job, is that there is nobody else willing or capable. I would fire him now and just withdraw England from any competitions till we get our act together.

It doesn't look like we're going to get caught up. This is the Telegraphs list of 'scoops':

-The assistant manager of a high-profile football club accepted a £5,000 cash “bung”.

-Ten managers were named by players’ agents as taking bribes to fix player transfers.

-Two well-known managers discussed becoming ambassadors for the same fictitious firm as Sam Allardyce.

-Another high-profile manager admitted his players broke FA rules by betting on their own games but he failed to report it.

-A senior figure at a Premier League club helped undercover reporters to formulate a plan to bribe managers.

Our Manager's don't get involved enough to be responsible for most of these.

He was talking about how to get around the FA rules for third party ownership, but it's not rocket science what he was saying. It was just obvious stuff he was saying. He clearly does not agree with the third party ownership rules, so is happy to tell people how they can get around them.

Is he corrupt? No, I don't think so, as he clearly drew the line when asked about players taking a bung. He said if you want to talk about that, do it when I've gone.

He also spoke about Hodgson and referred to him as "Woy" and said he'd be a useless public speaker, sending everyone to sleep. Cruel, but true.

What surprised me the most is that he's got his dream job, and he's doing this sort of thing in the first place.

But, the FA knew what type of character he is. If he had "I'm a bit dodgy" tattooed on his arm it would not surprise me. Same as Harry Redknapp.

He's put the FA in an extremely embarrassing position, and knowing them and how they view things, I don't think he can possibly keep his job.

Would a more sensible person not just have walked away then, like apparently Rodgers and Wenger did?

He goes in my opinion, for what he said about Rooney and not giving Rashford a chance is almost reason enough anyway but he is the highest paid international manager in the world I believe and should be working for the FA and the FA only, anything else is a conflict of interests in my opinion.

Not a surprise in the slightest that Allardyce behaved like this. Let's not forget the murky affairs when he was manager of Bolton Wanderers that were exposed by Panaroma. Funny that he released a statement saying that he was going to sue the BBC as he had a very strong case, but for some reason never followed through with that threat...

If anyone was going to get themselves into trouble with their big mouth it was him!

Mind you the contenders for the job include Pardew and Hoddle - both not exactly PR savvy.

    Probably end up being Southgate/Bruce.
