I’m merely pointing out that the right were getting very excited about the election of someone who doesn’t agree with that. I agree that the Falklands should remain British and I don’t hear the left demanding anything else these days.

I just finished reading The War of Don Emmanuel's Nether Parts which parodies this situation brilliantly. In order to deflect from local issues, they manufacture a war against British sovereign territory on the Island of Pigs or something, invade from two sides, meet in the middle, kill each other, realise they are the same side, celebrate and return home as heroes. The British don't even realise they lost the war.
