I think the pricing was £36, £46, £70 then into the hundreds. It's a shame it's so expensive, I've always wanted to go to an NFL game in America, most likely NY but the chances of that happening seem slim when the tickets would be so expensive/hard to get!
To be honest in my experience tickets are not hard to get - just very pricey! They are worth it though - the 3 Cowboys games I have gone to have been great experiences and different every time. The people I have met when going to these games are amazed by the fact that a non-American is interested in their sport and as a result are really welcoming and friendly. I would thoroughly recommend it if you can afford it.
I think that depends entirely on which school you go to, and how tuition is couched. I can easily see Texas and the SEC schools embedding tix into tuition as an attraction to attend. Or private schools like Stanford or USC where tuition is astronomical. In the UC schools, a lot of folks would scream bloody murder if you forced them to buy football tix instead of reducing tuition coats. In my day, you could subscribe to a pass to get discounted tix, but definitely not free. But maybe that was just when I was there in the late 80's... Today, it is now, without exaggeration, 20 times more expensive to go to UC Berkeley now than it was then, so maybe tickets have been rolled into tuition?
OK then, the new NFL season is only a matter of hours away. In my house, if it wasn't for the NFL, on a Sunday evening I would be subjected to a slow and painful torture regime of xfactor, xfactor extra, strictly, strictly extra, etc, etc extra . Fortunately sky multiroom means I'm saved from this inhumane treatment and as a bonus I don't have to speak to anyone for 6+ hours. Everyone's a winner !!! As a long suffering Bears fan, a new season means a new opportunity for expectations to be cruelly shattered sometime around December time !!! My prediction for the SB is Redskins v Bengals Reids you heard it here first
As a Bills fan I expect the exact same thing. Despite the new coaches and the new players, we'll still blitz the competition and then eff it up somewhere around December. Oh to be a Bills fan...
I can't see the Redskins getting to the SB unfortunately! I think we really could have last year had RG111 not gotten injured in that playoff game. P.s my ticket came today, it was £35
What's happened with the Eagles? From what I see, you lot used to be a regular in the Playoffs and now you haven't been in them for the last 3-4 years (although you should try my magic number of 14 #thisisouryeargobills)
Anybody interested in Pick'em this year? There were a few of us on here last year taking part. If there's interest, I'll start it up.

Thanks Luke, was just thinking about that and rejoined last years league, and was about to post about it, before I saw yours. And in response to what happened to the Eagles, Our ex-coach put our Offensive line Coach in charge of the defense, that about sums it up really
Good shout on the Pickems - I swear I would have challenged for the title if I hadnt missed that week...
Probably one of the most underrated kickers in the NFL . I'm pretty sure 58 yards is a Bears record - did he have the wind behind !! They say he has no leg but he is pretty reliable from 50+ and is ice cool in clutch situations. Surprise that the Bears managed to win that game as I was expecting the worst after Cincinnati went ahead. It's going to be a long long season for the Jags but at least they'll get to lose a couple of games in London.
I too was expecting the worst but when you have ever dependables like Matt Forte, you're never quite out of it. Completely agree with you re: Gould. Mr. Reliable. And if you believe the Commissioner, Jags may well be playing more than a quarter of their home schedule a season in London before long...
Jags have been rumoured for a long to be the team to "move" to London. My first thought of when their owner purchased Fulham was that it'd be in the pipeline very soon. Quite an exciting opening weekend. A few games seemed to have only one score to seperate them. Hoping the Buccaneers can perform this year, they've been improving gradually and I think (hope) they may make the playoffs this year.
If so they'll have to cut out the silly mistakes like those on Sunday. I think the Bucs have their work cut out if they can't beat the Jets as both Atlanta & N.O. looked strong on offense. N.O. defence looks like it might even turn up this year !! Its still early days though. (Unless you are the Jags, who should start preparing for 2014 now) :doom:
Massive amounts of Safeties this week surly some kind of record. The real game starts tonight, where the Eagles begin their quest for a 6-10 season.
Enjoyed the redskins game despite us losing. Eagles quick offence makes the game much easier to watch, and was pretty interesting.
Fell asleep with a minute remaining on the clock in the Texans game, thus missing the winning kick. In a sadistic way, I was hoping they'd lose. Houston sports fans are insufferable when their home-town team does well. The minute there's a sniff of success, they all come out of the woodwork, with mounds of team merch. It'll be all Rockets again soon now D-12 is in town. Makes me sick, I've been there since the start with these teams.* *Since Jan 2011.
I love my country, but this is so very American and not altogether an admirable trait of ours. I do it every chance I can get, though.
I wasn't convinced that the Bears were going to get that winning TD. After seeing them in action I'm hopeful that with Bennett as a credible receiving threat alongside Marshall and an OL that keeps Cutler off his backside, that they won't have to rely on the defence creating turnovers to win. Cutler sacked only once in two games - he's normally dropped at least a couple times before the coin toss !!! I'm not going to get too carried away. To be in with a chance you have to win your games at home so two wins is only a par start . Lets see what they can do next week against the Steelers on the road. Good to see 23 has still got it.
I know I'm late but bloody hell the Bills won! We could possibly win our next game against... the Jets. Carp.
0-3. Not cool. Wasn't expecting a win against the Patriots but a little more presence than a FG. Also, the Giants?! A shut-out against the Panthers. There is something seriously wrong there right now.
So, The Steelers are staying at The Grove before Wembley this weekend. Anyone going to either games? Edit: Wobby ******* about with their info, looks like it'll be the Vikings.
