Can't be arsed to write up an essay on my unprcedented success so I will summarize it for your pleasure. I decided to give it a go and try and get a Conference side into the heights of League 1 or even the Championship. I chose Aldershot Town because they had a couple of players I had heard of (Marcus Gayle, Joel Grant, Darren Barnard) plus they seemed to have a well balanced squad and wern't in any immediate danger of going into administration. I managed to get Watford as a parent club and it was this that was the catalyst to my rise into League football. My signings that season were: Matty Collins (cm) Fulham - £20,000 Anthony Stokes (am) West Ham - Loan Gavin Law (striker) - Free (utter sh*te) :dismay: Toumani Diagouraga - loan Shefku Kamara - loan Rhys Cresswell (cb) Sheff utd - Free McFadzean (cb) Sheff utd - £5,000 My partnership of big and small (Gayle and Grant) proved to be my success that season and both chipped in heavily along with Matty Colllins and Louie Soures (who?) My defence was patched up with the two signings from Sheff Utd (see above) and my goalkeeper Nikki Bull proved to be my best player that year. I ended up stroimng the league and finishing as champions comfortably. Part 2. I realised that I would have to strenghen heavily in the summer to give me a good chance of surviving relegation. I was given a boost almost instantly when Adie Boothroyd took pity on me and gave me Theo Robinson, Anthony McNammee and Diagouraga on loan from the season. I also managed to get Kamara and Joel Grant on loan again which gave my side a strong sense of being a Watford Reserve side. Joel Grant chipped in with 16 goals plus everyone else managed to get a few. Sheju Kamara was brilliant and got player of the season and I only managed to concede something like 37 goals which was pretty damn amazing I have to say. The winning formula is below.
