From a time when boxing was much more accessible on TV, I well remember watching Minter’s fights. A very talented World Champ in a golden age for British boxing. It’s been a bad day for people of my generation.
Yes remember his fights. Great fighter. He was eventually destroyed by Hagler wasn't he as Hagler arrived on the world stage ?
I remember that because the following week he did a meet and greet at B'wood's Lynx youth club. As you said "...destroyed..." he looked really shaken signing autograph.
