During the palace game the 4th official actually made a decision which resulted correctly in their goal v Astin Villa being ruled out. Is this the 1st time this has happened? Will it set a precedent?
Wasn't it the fourth official that saw Zidane's headbutt in the World Cup final? Remember the commentary saying something like that at the time.
You may well be correct GD. Personally I hope they have more affect in the future on getting correct decisions during a game. Bet Muff and Arsenal are bit miffed in their games V Liverpool that the 4th official didn't act . Sky can sort it in seconds why cant they?
The 4th official can't look at a tv feed - in fact they're banned in and around technical areas and dugouts these days - so there's no way he could have got involved in the offside debacle at Anfield.
The lino didn't raise his flag so I wonder who the ref said "good call" to? ... a goal line assistant possibly?
