1966 World Cup Final - were you there or know anyone who was?

    Hi there. I am a Charlton fan and first up I'd like to add my sincere congratulations to Watford for winning promotion. In my opinion the two best teams in the Championship were promoted and offers hope to the rest of us. I really hope you do well in the Premiership and I hope it's not long before we're doing battle again because we've had some great matches between us down the years.

    The point of my post is to find any Watford fans who were at the 1966 World Cup Final as I am working on several projects to do with the 50th anniversary next year.

    Yes I was, along with my dad. As well as all the other five matches at Wembley leading up to it too. It's been downhill ever since! Will send you an e-mail later. Remind me if other things preclude me delivering a prompt reply. Ta!
