Only time he should be on the pitch is if we were ever somewhat miraculously 3-0 up with ten minutes to play. Then we could give him another chance to see if he can play his way into form. Otherwise, needs to be binned off. Had so many chances this season and has looked terrible every time.
Amazed that at some point in the closed season some people were saying a midfield of Hughes, Quina and Dele-Bashiru would be a dream midfield in a 4-3-3. Quina is simply turning out to be a another punt that has turned to dust.
Sometimes players lose their way. He seems very lost at present. Not sure he'll get many more chances.
Does he actually have a preferred position? Played all over the place. Looked decent in the centre in his few PL games but now looks like some sort of bad inside winger.
Chalobah does make lots of good defensive work,a shadow of the player most of us recall but he had zero help from Capoue and more hinderance from Quina.
I know we could do with the depth, but there's no way Quina is going to develop getting a few minutes here and there. He's shown little to suggest he's good enough to be a regular here, think we should loan him out in January and hope he comes back a better player. Why didn't we loan him out in January last season is absolutely beyond me, he played so little after that
He looks like he'd be a brilliant 5-a-side player down Power League, but has no idea how to player proper, 11-a-side, professional football.
He needs to follow JP and beef up. Until he does he will continue being a peripheral figure with the occasional flash of brilliance. Perhaps we will one day play a formation suited to his skills.
Shame he's been written off after 7 league starts for the club at the age of 19/20. This is his first proper run of adult football. Makes mistakes and makes the wrong decisions but all the ingredients are there. Superb first touch, great close control and strikes the ball very well. Best part about him imo is his willingness to get on the ball. Struggled in the last couple of matches so probably low on confidence but still always showing, and trying to make things happen.
Was one of the very few positives tonight. If he can play with that energy every game, then he is a must start
He’s set such a low bar with his performances this season it probably looked better than it was. He was better but nothing special, and he’s hit the best chance of the game straight at the keeper. He should be scoring that.
I think it's a good save but either side he scores. Much better from him and we now know if he plays,he has to play in a more advanced role. In the second half he passed the ball to a BC forward from near our box,but then almost all the team gave the ball away far too often in non threatening positions.
He was better but still a long way off being someone you want starting every game. He showed tonight he might be able to contribute to our season but nothing more than that. He'll get another chance at the weekend given the Covid and injuries so let's see if he can build on it.
Quina definitely plays best as an ATM and he was probably our best player tonight, although that was not hard to be as everyone else was so lackadaisical.
Definitely need to make sure he stays in the opposition half. He does some good things when well forward and up the pitch it doesn't matter so much when he loses the ball. The problem is he still tries high risk moves when in our defensive 3rd, and gives the ball away too much.
The goal gave him confidence. Looks far better out wide coming in. He did not start too well but grew into the game but still makes the odd decision with the ball at times. It will come in time I suppose.
Much better, looks like a confidence player. He's said himself that this year is a big season for him and maybe that played on his mind a little at the start of the season. Definitely has the ability to be a very decent player
Quina is always trying to make things happen, which hasn't been true of all his team-mates. Too often he has given the ball away unnecessaroly or even dangerously, but with more experoence he'll probably learn which risks are worth taking and which aren't.
