He'll come back after the summer 11 stone and absolutely ripped. The flying wing back we need to replace Kamara who is demanding a transfer and refusing to turn up for training.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Rose said he wasn’t signing with a relegation clause and Duxbury just crumbled.
This sad farce continues to play out... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...ottenham-despite-having-contract-Watford.html The overweight leech now 'training' with Spurs as he uses his time productively watching his online bank account ticking ever upwards with the funds drifting through from SW Herts. "Rose still has a year left on his deal at Vicarage Road, but is looking for a move away after being relegated with the Hornets last season." Yeah right, a move presumably unrelated to football though in keeping with what the roly poly left back is able to manage these days. Are we able to engineer him a role with this lot as we feather bed him through his remaining contracted year? We should have known. After all it's common to find the words "Rose" and "p***k" in the same sentence isn't it?
Still find it unbelievable that we didn’t put anything in his contract to protect us against exactly this situation. Hideous negligence.
Agreed. A real schoolboy error. I guess we must have tried and he refused and we thought "ex england, ex spurs, free,.....what's the worst that could happen?" Well this, chaps....
The worst that could’ve happened was what happened at Newcastle. For some bizarre reason we seem to think one of the most chaotic football clubs in the country is somehow a place for previously terrible and troubled players to all of a sudden thrive against all expectation.
Starts for Spurs U21s tonight. Be careful what you wish for when it comes to Gino though. Under another owner we could end up hiring overweight and unmotivated players on good salaries and then continue paying them while they train with other clubs. Oh wait...
It is absolutely incredible that he's under contract - a big contract - and training and playing for another ****ing club. For the love of god just get out, Gino.
And clearly too expensive for us to pay him off. Of course as he is still here Duxbury and co cannot slag Rose off like they have with others.
A new low for Pozzo FC, we’re a complete laughing stock No doubt some people will still try and defend this
I know its unpopular but if it’s a choice between Rose or Masina from 01 August - i would pick Danny. He may not be fit, but once upon a time he was a footballer…
https://www.sportbible.com/football...wish-to-play-one-last-time-for-spurs-20220713 Pozzo and Dux need to go. This is pitiful - no other club in the PL or EFL would allow this situation.
I presume we did this in the hope he will want to leave and find another club or someone actually wants him ?
No harm to us. The more he gets himself fit and gets himself visible, the more likely he will get some interest from other clubs to bring him to the table to negotiate an exit. We gain nothing from forcing him to sit at home and bloat even further.
Or he does his ACL playing for another club while contracted to us and we end up stuck with him and paying for his rehab all season.
Fair comment but a small risk to take. I’m sure the club could stop him playing if they wanted but have concluded on balance it’s a good thing.
