Isn't the latter always going to be a consequence of the former?

Simple Simon in accounts showed me the transaction.
I don't know who it went to,my name admittedly but wrong amount and wrong details.
When I told him this he replied "sorry, that was for expenses".
    I wonder who they were?!
£520 worth of petrol to move around Haileybury?!

    Give me strength!
In my coaching and junior report for the Dibley err tennis club I included the bullet point " link formed with HTFC".
The chair ( "Splinters" as she never makes a decision) asked for more information. I replied " early stages and hoping to arrange a meeting with Neil Harrison shortly."
She then wrote"HT, Huddersfield Town? I have a friend who supports them."

Hoddesdon Town woman, HODDESDON TOWN,the club across the fence, what's left of it!

The fact that people go on letting off fireworks after Diwali, and let them off either side of Bonfire Night, meaning you don’t get much peace during these long late autumn nights.

12 hours in A & E…overnight 12 hours in A&E…there for a good reason, but bugger, does remind you of stuff I keep out of my bubble nowadays, a mixture of sympathy, empathy ( could of been me in a different life cycle) and a big tinge of jeeze , look at them …(was quite relieved to be quietly moved at 2 am to a side ward 'cos I’m still Covid positive on PCR test)…

People that use the work microwave and are unable to remove their meal without dislodging the glass rotating dish and also the 3 pronged spider thing that it sits on and then are too lazy to relocate them ready for the next person.

I do that on purpose to annoy the people that dislodge the plate. It's some sort of Mexican standoff. I've stopped short of saying "Your move ***hole" when removing my lunch, but it's tempting.

Turning it down to 300W and watching them eat frozen curry is good for a laugh as well.
Having to do their work the next day as they have food poisoning, not so much.

    Double hospitalisations.

Trying to enjoy a break at Centre Parcs in Holland, whilst getting phonecalls to say my dad's had another psychotic episode and been sectioned, the same days Mrs Peel's old man has gone into A&E as he can't breathe and most likely has lung cancer (after waiting nearly a day for a bed).

I at least have the consolation of a Dutch second division game tomorrow night - VVV Venlo v Jong AZ.

Does anyone actually do that? I don’t think I’ve ever come across it, apart from on tv when it’s taking the piss.

I think it’s a false eyelash/eye makeup thing. Seen plenty of young people do it myself.

Welling up, keep the eyes wide open and fan so as not to cause running or eye wiping/rubbing.

I find this utterly bizarre behaviour as well. These last few years have seriously left me considering the average levels of common sense in our species.

Unskippable YouTube ads - the biggest offender being the TotalJobs one with the truly corny exchange between the girl with her oh-so naturally red hair and bizarrely American accent and her posh-speaking British gran. I really thought it had stopped appearing as I hadn’t seen it for quite a while before my eyes and ears were cruelly subjected to it yet again the other day. And it looks like I’m far from the only one to hate it!

It reminds me of some of those TV ads from the 90s, where while some were clever and witty (probably the best being the Boddingtons one), others seemed to have been created for the purpose of being as annoying as possible. Not far behind is the ad about having five zillion passwords with its faux-operatic music…

Scalpers, I think they're referred to.

Aldi are doing a deal on a lawnmower. You want a new lawnmower. Aldi have sold out. But not to people who want a new lawnmower, they've sold out to someone who has bought the last few lawnmowers to sell on eBay for a profit.

Playstation5 is another example where people bought them with an intention to sell.

HotUKDeals website I frequent a little when shopping around for a product. There loads of threads where people comment "great deal, bought 10!" As if people are proud of themselves for being a savvy reselling ****. There was a phone I wanted that sold out before I could purchase while at work. Loads now on eBay brand new in box for 50% more from these ********

The retailers are culpable too. They limit availability by design or simply because the deal is a loss leader, so that everyone reads about the bargain, but nobody actually gets it. I saw Aldi did a green egg, kamodo BBQ a while ago. All of them ended up on Ebay for 160% markup.

I've noticed that with the steam deck - available in CeX for £600 (521GB SSDD) or from stream, if you can wait two weeks, for £569.

I've only ever seen this once and this was in an episode of Morse.

Tom Wilkinson does it when he's caught with the young Greenpeace chap in his rooms.

Never seen it before or since, thank goodness.
This appears in coaching on a regular basis.

    Says everything really.
