Who was the Radio 4 interviewer a few years ago who, when introducing Jeremy Hunt, said Jeremy C*nt? Obviously it was just an innocent mistake, that anyone could make!
Does he still drive a Porsche? I remember him filling up at a petrol station at the pump next to me when he was still a player. Can’t remember where I was but it was definitely Jeremy Bates. I think JB was part of the reg plate too. Did he ever win anything? He was quite well known but perennially disappointing. Even more so than Tim Henman. Btw, for the sake of forum etiquette, I need to add that whilst refuelling he gave me some ITK Watford transfer news. (He didn’t).
But also a bottle job toff Tory failure specialist. I've just read he's a motivational speaker now! Specialist subject: how to lose to shyt french players from a winning position. Twice.
Not sure if posted elsewhere, but new 4 year deal. Ridiculous. Spends more time injured than on the pitch. Working on Hamer/Livermore extensions too.
We wouldn't want to risk losing him for free. Smart move. I'm sure other clubs were circling. A 4 year deal locks in another 40 games.
I can understand Hamer and Livermore extensions, but with Ngakia it's a joke unless we're only doing it so we can get a fee for selling him (which won't be happening).
Seems like a sign the club know they won't be able to attract a high calibre of player for a while and are simply happy to sign up somebody who wants to be here on modest money. Four years does seem crazy.
OH. MY. GOD. I thought the post above was a wind up. Even the ******s in charge of our club would not be so stupid to do this. But they have. I don’t know what to say. All of next season when he is injured I will be lectured by our fans that he is more than adequate back up. Can’t wait.
Makes sense. Once Andrews is sold in the summer we’ll need Ngakia until we make a panic buy before deadline day
Oh. Oh bugger. He's not a bad player on paper for this level, but that's the issue. Unfortunately his hammies are also paper. I do agree with 1 year extensions for Hamer and Livermore though.
Simply good husbandry to move aggressively to lock in a further four years of salary payments to a permacrock player who's absolutely shyt in the extremely few minutes he does manage on the pitch, even at the relatively low level we are currently operating, when we were within a few months of being able to see the back of him at no cost to us for once. The future is now.
Absolutely, we had all that cash on the hips from the loans and the player sales, securing below average crocked players is a good move.
To he fair he was starting to put in some decent performances b4 his surgery. IF he stays fit he could still he a decemt player for us
Another odd decision . Maybe he’s in a low salary and we need to hang on to some lower paid players due to lack of cash ?
