The list of declared candidates makes sombre reading for the Official Monster Raving Looney Party. I’m not sure they are even breaking into the top ten biggest fruitcakes on the list.
Reads like a joke list. Blaise Quiche - Liberal democrat? Piers Corbyn, Lawrence Fox, Howling Hope. Count Binface is the sanest of the lot. Unfortunately it's not the same Sarah Green that I fancied as a young Meister. She's 65 now so cheers for making me feel old.
Yes, the Green Party candidate is called Green. Made the selection easier. It’s less like a list of candidates and more like an episode of Little Britain.
As an aside, Marcus Ball is looking at crowd-funding to get his, very worthy, project on lying in politics off the ground. This is an extension of his investigation into De Pfeffel's, fairly ludicrous claims, about his "...life and death struggle..." with C19 infection*. https://twitter.com/MarcusJBall/status/1671948253682716672 *When De Pfeffel started recounting what 'happened' to him virtually all of the clinicians (both the two bachelor degree possessing wunderkinds and the nursing staff) I worked with started rolling their eyes skywards. It was charitably put down to De Pfeffel being both a bullshitter 'bigging-up' what had happened to him and him also being a bit dim in not fully understanding what had actually happened to him.
Can anyone remind me if being funded by a foreign nation to thwart the best interests of our nation is treason? https://twitter.com/ByDonkeys/status/1673764571541020697
Truly De Pfeffel is just like herpes - he's the gift that keeps on giving... Partygate: Rees-Mogg and Dorries likely to be named in ‘contempts of parliament’ report Exclusive: Special report will raise issues encountered during initial inquiry into Johnson rule breaches
Free the De Pfeffel Ten! Not that they are in jail, but I bet the woke lefties like Sunak and Bernard Jenkins won’t rest until then. https://news.sky.com/story/nadine-d...ee-special-report-on-partygate-probe-12911488
I know I've broken that golden rule of not taking absolutely anything Michael Fabricant says seriously ever but didn't his government 'invent' the entire disciplinary process and that parliament agreed that this was the process they would use, circumventing normal criminal justice procedures:
JRM digging himself into a deeper and deeper hole on R4 now and spouting an absolute load of cobblers.
In all seriousness, as a protest vote one of the anti ULEZ people will probably get it. Binface can have his usual cross from me come the GE
Postal vote received yesterday, after much deliberation I went for the most sensible choice. All hail Count Binface.
I'm pretty certain at this point that he's trained an AI chatbot on everything he's ever said/written and just lets it write the content now.
'I once forgot to tell everyone I'd had a new baby for over a week because by waiting the news would be a useful dead cat to distract from me not handing over an old phone that would prove I was a Russian agent.' (stolen from twitter)
Fawning eejits out to welcome De Pfeffel to GB News. https://x.com/christopherhope/status/1717919390308425895?s=46&t=oqOMSJXE_g7J5C7kNPG9LA
It's absolutely nauseating seeing a purported news channel treating a disgraced former Prime Minster coming on board as some kind of celebratory event. And that news ticker...embarrassing stuff.
Don't worry. He's got another 'live & unplugged' gig coming up in January - his summons to the covid enquiry. All those axes to grind & unpredicted WhatsApp messages...
It is amusing to see the split this is causing amongst the bonkers right though. On one hand you have the "Boris" lovers (led by queen Nadine) who are wetting themselves at the thought of seeing their chosen one on their screens. On the other hand you have the anti vaxxers who see Johnson as the architect of the lockdown, and the resulting economic hardship caused, under the orders of the WEF and lizard overlords, "because of a cold". GBN are just giving the blond clown a job because they know that plenty of people will tune in to see what he says and laugh at or get angry with him. Purely a commercial decision and probably a sensible one.
GB News doesn’t really make commercial decisions though. It made a staggering £30m loss in 21/22. It’s role is to ensure that right wing voices are heard and its success or otherwise will be measured by whether another Government of the Right is elected, whatever shade of blue or, failing this, that the Overton Window is pushed far enough to neutralise a Labour one. It’s all about creating favourable social conditions for its owners.
As Moose has said, Paul Marshall and Legatum don't have commercial motivation. They are paying Mogg £375k when he has probably an average of 20k viewers. About £20 for every viewer. And apart from adverts for funeral plans, gold and souvenir plates and medallions, no advertising revenue. The point is to keep these ghouls and vampires and their agendas in the public discourse, for which £30m a year is money well spent. They don't care about the slavering morons who comprise their viewership, they are an irrelevance.
The real power come for shytehawk is how much of the bile they splat out gets reported by the rest of the media. The level of bilge they'll be ex******g during the upcoming GE campaign will be frightening - all masked by the fig-leaf of broadcasting the public's 'opinions' so they get around any 'balance' requirements.
Is it working though? The polls say not and many of their pundits are a laughing stock. The money paid to JRM would have Andre Gray scratching his head and muttering about ‘value for money.’ Will be interesting to see if it’s backers change tack if the Tories lose the election.
It's not working but it probably is hardening a (small) core of people who think they speak on behalf of many, many more people than they actually do.
All about the overton window. When you have enough loons on GB News Suella Braverman starts looking relatively sensible
