The Pozzo legacy next season will be one of the worst squads in recent years, with a toxic culture and a debt that will hamper our progress for many years to come but people still defend them
Don't be too sure about avoiding relegation. Administration or points docked are a possibility. We are just awful. That result puts the play offs beyond us. Yet, the fans at home will cheer, clap and not voice one sentence of disappointment. It is about time the atmosphere at Vicarage Road turned to one of disgust as to the team performances and the running of the the club.. Perhaps UCL can revoke the lease at London Colney? Christ! We are in a sorry state. Have a good evening.
Shocking performance, Davis needs sending back to Villa. Midfield were non existent and Hoedt forgot what colour we were playing in. To top it off QPR were determined to make sure the minimal amount time of the ball being in play. Especially in extra time, I reckon there was 2 mins of game time in the 7.
Cant blame Wilder, he has had three days with the squad and tried to bring his system in. We were terrible though.
With luck that's Sarr out for the season. Hopeless waste of time. But my god that would have been frustrating if anyone really cared. Some of our players are beyond pathetic. Decision making is utterly abysmal, they revert to passing backwards instead of crossing but then hoof it up somewhere with worse chances of getting the ball and less near to the goal. Rinse repeat. Choudhury is a fraud. Hustle and bustle but does nothing progressive ever. Davis is the silver lining of the year. In that we won't waste 15m on him. I do predict he'll come back to the Vic playing for someone like Plymouth and tear us apart though. Louza hasn't rescued the season. Hoedt is pants. Pedro is a pansy. Didn't see the goal but suspect we concocted it ourselves?
Ok first off I am not one to toot my own horn but... It was so predictable, so easy for them, and yes their goal was quite good and a nice strike but we did NOTHING to try and get back into the game. On a bad run? Cannot score? Leaking goals left right and centre? Play the side who cannot score a goal and give 25% each game no matter who is in charge. QPR deserved it today, well done to them - take nothing away from them and it's probably a massive relief to their fans'. I am not angry and I am not disapointed. I am LIVID! That was, without a shadow of a doubt, the worst performance I have ever seen. Sarr was dreadful, even managed to shoot the ball off the pitch TWICE! Davis needs turfing out the club now, let alone the Summer. Bachmann to his credit made a few decent saves and was probably MotM but that's an easy pick from a pile of rubbish. Hoet was very poor, and is clearly buying into our culture. Cathcart looked dodgy. Wilder may as well not be here. Nothing has changed. Nothing will change, until Gino buggers off. Shout box was the best part of today. Thank you everyone who shared in my pain. Hive live is not a lot better. Brum next? I cannot see us winning that one. Deeney winner late on, put your morgage on it. GET OUT OF OUR CLUB POZZO. You have destroyed any sense of unity our squad/club once had. I need to go scream into a pillow.
So much wrong with us, so much to say but I can’t be bothered right now. Well done to QPR absolutely bullied us, never thought The Champ would be this miserable, it somehow feels like last season yet again.
Wilder and his way of playing and Watford with their's were never likely to be an easy fit, so little surprise really that this was a shambles. Wilder will soon start getting the blame but we know he's on a hiding here. Shame, because his philosophy of attacking football is what we need (and have needed for a long time). He's not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but he's pretty good and really Watford could do a lot worse than keep him on for a long contract and start moving players in and out of the club to suit a coherent plan for attacking football.
Absolutely disgraceful. Not picking out any player because they were all awful. Pretty sure the lad went on the pitch so he would be thrown out so he didn’t need to watch the rest of it. We did nothing, no chances, no passion, nothing. We got bullied by Chris Martins! Chris Martins for **** sake! Bringing on Assombalonga summed it all up
I think he was going to eat it. So out of shape. Him and Davis are a shining example of how far we have fallen as a club.
What was the fighting about and who found anything to run on the pitch for (other than to take a swing at some of the players)?
Just so infuriating. The squad on paper should be so much better. Confidence must be at an all time low. I see no aggression, intensity, team spirit or work rate. These are all things that don't require any talent, just a set of bollox and some pride. QPR were fcuking sh1te, yet we somehow managed to be even worse. They scored the only half chance of the game, then took turns in players going down to waste time. Did that lump Assombalonga even touch the ball in 15mins he was on? I almost feel sorry for the bloke. Looks like a competition winner. I'd say even he can't believe he was signed and is somehow on the pitch in a Watford shirt in 2023, it's mind boggling. Choudhury was bottling challenges 10mins in. Early on in the season he had some great performances, but I'm starting to subscribe to the idea that we have no control in the middle of the park with him in there. Useless on the ball and his positional sense is woeful. Sometimes he's right wing, then left back, sometimes in line with the centre halfs. All over the ******* shop. Thank **** he's out for 2 games. Louza needs to be demanding the ball from the centre halfs. He was anonymous today apart from his beige free kicks. 1o sideways passes between the CBs before a percentage long ball because we have nobody showing for options. Davis. Mother of Christ. We don't play to his strengths (whatever they are), he has the first touch of a brick wall and he's a lazy **** to boot. Please fcuk off. We pass the ball around to try look nice. We do nothing with it and are of no danger to anyone, apart from perhaps the mental health of us supporters. The Watford fan that went on the pitch had more passion then the 11 combined today. Hopefully more fan unrest between now and the end of the season. Wish I cared less.
I genuinely think his corners are worse than Sema's. Put Ken back on them (not that it really matters any more).
I'm probably being harsh but our plan was basically give it to Cathcart and hope he wellies it down the field for Davis to pretend to jump at.
That's it this season for me, they can **** themselves. Appalling quality on show today, truly shocking. Pedro apart, they all need to hang their heads in shame. F*** off Pozzo family.
Harsh on the fans to be honest. Over 3100 fans paid for tickets and travel today. Our away following has been excellent this season. I for one had a 200 mile round trip and my brother who I met who travelled from the South West has a much further commute. I am all for criticising the players, managers and owners but it is extremely unfair to criticise our fans who mostly have ordinary jobs and salaries but spend a lot of time and money travelling all over the country to support the team despite the s*** the club puts us through.
People blame the players but if you worked for a company where: your boss was changed every 3-6 months Your role therefore changed every 3-6 months The culture was so toxic that being at work just wasn’t enjoyable The management docked your salary for ad hoc reasons You weren’t paid bonuses you earned Those around you weren’t working hard There were other companies interested in you would you be that bothered?
Whichever way you look at it, the owners and their mismanagement are firmly to blame way ahead of anyone else.
Today was the first time in ages I have seen our own fans' boo the side off at HT. One invaded the pitch which was a bit OTT, but other fans' fighting eachother was another sign that perhaps tethers have finally been reached? No evidence to back this theory up but it was a plesant surprise to see our fans' actually react to the crap show in front of them. Will it continue, especially if we lose on Tuesday? Not sure, but would be a massive sign of change in the fanbase towards the rubbish on the pitch.
If I played professional football I think I'd be bothered. Your work standards are there for everyone to see in plain sight. I'd be embarrassed to be so bad week in week out.
I see your point but this isn't Tescos they are professional footballers doing a job they are extremely privileged to do and being paid a massive amount of money to do so. They should at least have some pride about themselves.
I wasn't able to follow the game at all, was it pathetic as it looks? Wilder clueless, or more down to players downing tools?
