Agreed, but would say almost certainly Cathcart at RB. He has performed decently there at this level in this kind of stage of the season before, even though I'm not sure Gaspar needed much surgery in that position at this point. Glad to see the change made up top, if just to give Araujo a real opportunity and switch it up a bit/let Davis know taking the piss will only be tolerated 99% of the time, not 100.
A knock perhaps? Ngakia isn't quite fit which might explain why Gaspar is still in the squad rather than dropped altogether
Club felt compelled to dismiss the Asprilla kidnapping rumours by giving him a token bench appearance. Or it’s a body double.
Probably missing something, and it is a small sample size, but I can't remember Cathcart ever having a bad game at RB, he's put in some real shifts there against some good teams
Think his efforts against Norwich in the latter stages of the last promotion season are what stand tall and colour our perceptions of him in that role at this level, above all.
I imagine there’ll be a steady stream filtering out over the second half as opposed to everyone leaving on 90. Bilic will see to that.
Once again I was offered free tickets and can't go. On the plus side that happened against WBA and we won Same again would be nice
Anyone watching able to tell me of that was as bad as the stats I’ve seen make out? Dull and Preston slightly on top??
Cathcart at right back is absolutely mental when we have a right back that's been doing well. What is Bilic thinking? Louza is left footed, why is he playing on the right? Choudhury's running around just masks the fact he's absolutely terrible at football. He's a key reason we have absolutely no control of games. Only Pedro and Morris did their jobs as expected in that half, the rest are just fumbling around
I genuinely don’t care if we go on to win by any score today - there was enough in that first half performance for everyone to see that Bilic is a terrible coach. Deny the above, and you’re lying to yourself. Injury crisis has been a footnote in how bad he has been.
What’s the excuse we are giving this week as to why we should give Bilic another week? ‘The time to judge is next week - jury’s out for me.’ Reality is, club reputation aside, Manga should have pulled rank and had him sacked when he took his job. Manga wants his own man anyway - the messing around period of ‘acceptance’ we are undertaking is weird really.
Time to prepare for next season. Sell Pedro, Sarr and a couple of others. Get rid of then injury prone and over the hill and have Ubenga work wonders over the summer. New manager too and coaching staff. New medical team as well. Expensive summer and a very busy revolving door. We're hard to break down but we cannot score for toffee. With some of the players on the pitch it's a mystery and ultimately it boils down to the coaching and set up. It's not good enough from Bilic and also some of the players.
