I think we’re going to do it, our attackers will be able to play. Plus all good streaks come to an end right, they’ve won 12 in a row? Even more reason why a loss has to be round the corner.
Burnley. Bit of a dump. Just an hour or so up from the road from me. Am I going? Am I feck and hats off to any of you that are spending your time and money doing so.
Talking of knowing footballers, I met a couple at the train station going to the game on Saturday that knew Hedges. Think it was one of their cousins and they said he wasn't starting unfortunately so I smiled a bit when he came on thinking that they would be pretty chuffed with that. True story.
We're even closer (47 minutes according to Google Maps) but, as you say, hats off to those making the journey from Hertfordshire. PS I'm expecting 0.79 points from this (25% chance of a draw, 18% chance of a win, according to FiveThirtyEight)
OK, I never bet on football and even more rarely on Watford but at 9/2 I've lumped on us to win tonight. Have that Clappers!
I actually think this could be a close game. We're well due a decent team performance and the pressure slightly off for this one. A Draw then.... Or we might sneak it...... Or they might get a late winner.. (phew covered myself..)
I can't actually fathom how many of you think this could be a close game. I don't even think we're particularly bad but they will batter us.
Might benefit from a comma. Reads like you saw Stevie Palmer coming out of Nordin Wooter which is weird
I'll be missing the football tonight to spend time with the wife. Maybe the first time I've ever had no qualms about doing so.
Because it's the sort of stupid thing this club has done over the last decade. Leicester then lose meekly to Palace Wolves then lose 6-0 to City Liverpool then get relegated Luton then beat Norwich and get promoted Stuff Villa, Everton, Man Utd and get relegated That said, we may have already had that moment by beating Norwich with our reserves.
They've won 12 on the bounce. We are in ***** form. They're good we're not. So that means we are surely going to have our once in a blue moon performance in this game and win.
I think it's ten, but if they win tonight they beat an all time winning streak record. You know how generous Watford are when it comes to gifts. That said, we could turn out a Lootown performance and blow them away. Even though our better players are coming back now, our goal scoring ratio is pitiful, and it's the main reason we are nowhere near the top two.
There's absolutely nothing that suggests we are capable in ourselves, given the falsehood of the 'Watfordy' concept, but the one vain hope is that it would be quite a 'Championshipy' thing to happen, regardless of who is involved. That being said, Burnley have generally been rejecting 'Championshipy' things up to this point in the season, so there's not necessarily a great reason to assume that will revert to type tonight.
We are in **** form but our squad is starting to look in better shape with the new signings and Joao Pedro, Louza coming back in. I think this is a bit too soon as our injured players need to get fitter and sharper but on our day in this division we are never definitely beaten before the whistle. Yes it's a good Burnley side on excellent form but it isn't Man City or Real Madrid. Saying that I think we will lose this one but it isn't a certainty.
You muppet. All you had to do was fly her to the US, or really any country a few hours behind UK time for that matter. Then you could watch the game during afternoon, it wouldn’t interfere with dinner plans, and you’d have looked like the ultimate romantic in the process. Oh, and Burnley to beat us 5-1.
I've got a source in the Burnley dressing room who says they are worried about this one and expect us to beat them. Can't say more than that.
I have a source in the Moog household who says that's ********, and that we should stop believing everything he posts.
Keep back four the same. Put Sema or Pedro in for Martins and bring Clevs into midfield with Kone & Choudhury. Davis for Araujo. Tell him to run his heart out for 45 minutes disrupt Burnley’s fluidity if we can and then go from there. Whoever is right will have to help Gaspar.
