I thought he was a panic buy because Wilkenson wasn't keen on coming. Even though he eventually turned up.
Leapt like a Salmon to head a goal against Leicester in Rumbelows cup. Mighty Stuart Rimmer also scored in that game after a cross by Rod Thomas. Was like Harlem globetrotters that night, although we lost 6-3 on aggregate
Will be glad to see the back of him to be honest, another failed Rob Edwards experiment Bayo, Hause, Manaj all leaving would finally allow us to move on from Rob’s disastrous scouting and transfer policy
Bayo (despite being a terrible footballer) at least offered some sort of goal-threat. Manaj offers nothing in any capacity.
How true. the only saving grace is that Bayo is not injured, whereas Manaj will be difficult to shift in his current condition. I also suspect Bayo was not a good influence in the dressing room.
Not convinced anyone was ever in for him - another of AL’s tall-tales I think. A bit like the numbers he’s quoting on the Sarr/Everton thing. Bilic said Manaj was out for ‘months’ and he’s not back in training. Seeing as he’s had 2 lengthy injuries already this season, can’t see anyone taking him in this window.
There will be some mug out there who will buy him just because he has Barcelona on his CV. Oh, wait….
Nobody can judge Minaj he’s literally been injured since he arrived. Yes the shot at Preston which is still in orbit but give him a chance, there might be a player in there.
There is a bit of a hysteria around Manaj given he has barely kicked a ball for us. This is modern football fans sadly.
As someone who watched at least 75% of his games at Spezia last season I can assure you there's no player there.
You say that, but I watched every minute he played for us and he is possibly the worst player I've seen in a Watford shirt. And I was there for the early 90s. Maybe he needs a run of games or to adjust, but I've never seen a player look more incompetent.
Some players need time to adapt and he never got it due to injury. Agree what little he did play was poor, but his ineptitude given the circumstances has been raised to an almost religious level.
Thought he looked ok at Birmingham away and of course scored. I would take him over Bayo on the little I've seen but appreciate that is not much to shout about
