The sheer laziness and incompetence of that side is reflected by the boardroom and the decisions made by Pozzo and his sidekicks. v Paper thin squad, players who don't have an ounce of fortitude but are signed anyway. How much money has been wasted on utter dross. Laird v Gaspar is a perfect example. I feel for the younger players seeing that who are going to have their development affected and for the one or two that make an effort. Sarr should be ashamed of himself. Show some determination. Get past your marker for once. What did they do in the World Cup break. Watch matches, eat rubbish and not practice ? Davis looks unfit as do many others. There is absolutely no excuse for the lack of effort though. None at all. The dressing room is rotten and many players need to be removed. It may take a while for Ubenga to bring in a new cycle of players. One cannot expect Kone and Martins who are twenty year olds to work miracles and surrounded by dross even quality gets tarnished. If Coco the clown is serious about the playoffs he has to bring in several players. Under recommendation of Ubenga and Bilic. Not his own personal useless considerations. He had better not sack Bilic. The players get off scot-free again and continue the cycle. They need to be spoken to and told they'll be sold or removed. Far too much complacency and arrogance from some and thinking they are too good for the division. The manager has to be supported. It's the way Pozzo and Duxbury have undermined all their managers with transfer policy, interfering at the training ground that has led to the player power situation as is. If we're not careful we'll be in a relegation battle. At times like these I do wonder is it worth carrying on supporting the team. Maybe it might just be better to stick to international football and at least seeing Argentina triumph was something. I doubt even someone like Scaloni could get a tune out of this utter shower of gutless weaklings. And as for the medical department. Why do we continue to have so many injuries. Pozzo's transfer policy does not help but again and again we see players out for months. Is something not right with their conditioning. They have had a month to prepare for the resumption after all. An absolute shambles to put it mildly. The fans who traveled should be refunded.
Having bought a ticket for the Reading game for our FA Cup "Road to the Madejski" campaign , I am wondering what the average age and average squad number of the starting XI will be. I'm guessing low 20s and high 30s respectively.
I think we're in a relegation battle Smudger. I hope Bilic walks and tells numerous home truths. I don't think for one minute he will but jeepers creepers we're up **** street.
You may see the great Adrian Blake. How he is behind Hunglo in the picking order is strange. He'll be off in the summer anyway. He can see where this club is heading.
I’d love someone to do some analysis of how many of them have been injured dilly-dallying around trying desperately to hold onto the ball while our static frontline moves glacially into position.
Not sure how much to read into that. Our injury situation is an absolute joke, and we're left with a poor RB at LWB, a fat Bacuna and an injury prone TBD in CM. But despite that, some of the individual displays were horrific. What must Sierralta think sitting on the bench watching Ekong and Kabasele? Another stinker from Sarr. If anyone is silly enough to give us £15m I'll pay for the taxi, clearly doesn't want to be here anymore. Bachmann's kicking was awful. Get Martins/Kone in, get the RB in, get a CB in, get a new fitness coach in, and get our good injured players back and we should be okay, but it could be a tough few weeks ahead.
What really really irks me most is that no matter how many managers we get in they never turn it around, ever. The last 4 years have been bad with a few good performances thrown in. Clearly our whole approach seems to be buying in cheap rubbish or expensive show ponies, and then let them ponce around the training ground - mainly concentrating on the "weights room" so they can flash their abs when the chance comes. I hate the modern players, they are so far below the mental strength of our guys fron 20 to 25 years ago..... Zero comparison. If they have no heart for it get shot of them, but there's the issue, the clubd whole standing and phylosophy is now tuned to this type of show pony player!! We're £ucked...
A lot of hope being pinned on Kone and Martins there. Talented, no doubt, but they are a 20-year-old Canadian who has played 26 games for Montreal in MLS and a 19-year-old Brazilian coming to Europe for the first time.
But, but, we’re still 3rd 4th 5th, which means we must be good, so we can carry on sticking our fingers in our ears and ignoring reality, right?
Have a happy new year everyone. Try not to let Watford influence your mood too much. There really are more important things to do. Evidently our players have more important things to do as well.
I actually think Ekong Cathcart and Kabasele are excused for the time being. We know they have a lapse in them but the ball never stuck up front and was consistently turned over in midfield. They've done more in that game than they had to do in the premier League.
Well, I have to give Bilic credit for that comment. We really did show what we were made of. Paper Mache'.
We're pathetic. It was a guaranteed defeat wasn't it. Swansea without a win in eight so along comes Watford to put that right.
Too many managers sacked and signing NDA’s. Hope Bilic realise’s he has enough money, walks, and starts pointing fingers to wake the last remaining fans up.
I have a horrible feeling that our season ends when we draw Luton in the play-off semi finals and lose. Feels like a perfect script set up,
I like this post, the right amount of disgust with common sense suggestions to stop the rot. I fully agree with getting rid of Sarr. His attitude is deplorable. I would normally wish players leaving for better things every best wish, but I could not give a **** about him and the sooner he clears off with his lazy and cowardly approach, the better.
Yep. On the last 90 mins in isolation, I’m far more inclined to look at Sarr and Davis than the CB’s in terms of effort and desire.
Many years ago I always remember our coach telling us two things that have always stayed with me, not to go into tackles half hearted and you never win a game by just going onto the pitch you have to give total concentration and true grit and determination , whoever puts that shirt on should be going through brick walls but unfortunately we have too many jumping out the way of tackles bunch of cowards who need to man up and put there foot in ,Swansea like millwall have average players but we have let In 6 goals with school boy errors , not one of our players laid a glove on any opponent in the last 2 matches unfortunately that is not down to bilic that's down to individuals desire and work ethic from the forwards to the Defenders, its embarrassing
We won’t be making the playoffs I doubt. Far more likely we sink to mid-table as Edwards takes that lot to Wembley. And we (as a club, not a fanbase) deserve nothing less.
We’ve been excusing those three players for years and years. All three have been captain at some point as well. Their time is well and truly over.
‘Keeping it internal’ is a large part of the current problem. Call them out in public, name them and shame them. This lot don’t deserve their manager publicly covering them.
I just don't think they're the problem in this this club in this team at this level. Would also like them all "upgraded" but they'll more likely be replaced with younger worse versions of themselves.
He won't do a reveal. Pozzo has confidentiality as clause number one in the contract. If Pearson didn't, I don't think anyone would.
