It is you that missed the point of the film that the Von Trapps were the good guys on the side of Austria, who dispised the bad guys on the side of Austria. They weren't running away from German's mate, but their former friends and countrymen. There being good people on the side of Austria, as opposed to just a bunch of nazis, is the whole point of the movie. It is about the division of a country that was seen solely as part of the Germany that fought in WW2. The film openly screams at its audience "there were good people too!" You missed that bit, obviously. But few others did. Your rather hollow point about good people was so wide of the mark as to invite claims of half wittedness. As it goes, I think I did well holding back from such extremes. Didn't expect you to double down though.
Oh dear. So pompous you think you need to explain the Sound of Music. Cue 10 posts on the subject by you explaining to me what I meant.
That is novel. You started explaining it, and it turned out you didn't have a clue. If you hadn't given a completely false idea about the film, I wouldn't have dreamed about putting you right. Like I say, if you don't like having silly things you say read back to you, or if you don't like people responding to your posts on a discussion forum, or if you don't like people disagreeing with your comments, try not saying them in the first place. Cue more posts of you saying I said something I didn't say culminating in a barrage of insults, and a complete absence of response to the point I am making, and instead making up more poop that has no basis in reality. No different to any other day, Moose. You are brittle glass, in intellectual terms. Not always wrong, but transparent and fragile. No offense meant. Just an observation.
Here’s The Smiths performing it live. Not always wrong but transparent and fragile, I had to explain the Sound of Music to him. Whoah ooh ooh whoah. Oh ghastly man on a football forum…
Hmmm. Living rent free in Moose's head, me thinks. (maybe a nice Maisonette's pic to go with this one)
An hilarious claim, if ever there was one. You’ve devoted yourself to ‘policing’ me. Forum members only need to search the term ‘Moose’ posted by member HH to find that the maximum possible search count is reached. Only the term ‘Watford’ probably comes close. When you use phrases like this, it’s like you’ve borrowed it off a bigger kid at school but didn’t quite grasp what it meant.
Yes . And this thread and your posts on it are just something I made up to convince myself. By the way, there's a leaky pipe in the bathroom. Can you get it sorted by the weekend. Your Tenant will be most thankful. There's a Good chap.
What the actual **** is wrong with you? Are you now trying to infer I am a landlord as a stupendously stupid way of discrediting me? You are one weird and bizarre individual.
I’ve certainly enjoyed laughing at the absurdities of your posts. It’s not been necessary for me to invent anything though. It’s a very strange thing for you to do. And yet not a strange thing for you. Back on ignore.
Imagine if speech was not free. I reckon the entire world would be bankrupt. Oh that was a witty one Skyla - here's a round of applause...
Exactly Moose . Never been a left wing killing machine in the history of the World. Ever. Never happened. All lies. All BS . National SOCIALISM all a lie . #Trump
The bit I like best is that there are no good people on the right, period, and Trump is a tyrant for even suggesting there might be, even though, in the same speech, he condemned extremists of all kinds. The fact that people, even Watford fans, believe that it is more extreme for Trump to say "fine people on both sides", than it is for them to say there are no good people that politically disagree with them. Again, and it is becoming a trope, it is clear which thinking is more akin to fascism. But when you suggest that, rather obvious conclusion, they grab their petticoats and squeal in dismay, like a child caught with its hand in the buscuit tin, saying what a terrible nazi you are for repeating their words to them. Yeaugh.
The trouble with the people on the left and right wings is they never look at the pilots. Everyone starts off in the fuselage, some in economy, some in business class etc but then they get distracted by the flight hostesses, have enough and jump out onto the wings without realising the pilots tell the hostesses what to do. The minority of flyers decide to go to the wing tips, some in the middle of the wing but most sit on the inside of the wing staring into the fuselage. Now we get to the brave souls that decide to stay in the fuselage and ignore the hostesses, they want to talk to the pilots but find the door to the cockpit is shut, the hostesses try to give the illusion that they are in control but the few brave souls inside the fuselage and ignoreing them know the truth.
