Then watch Everton win, Leeds win and Burnley manage to beat Citee. This could be a very depressing weekend. I love football.
Currently in Liverpool for the weekend. Were here for the Everton game. Just hope we have the same feeling after this game that we had after that one!
Mate, as a liverpool fan myself I'd love to get tickets to take the family up to The Anfield of Dreams. That's why I'm so angry at Watford getting relegated as it means my STs won't give me the big games each season that I buy it for. YNWA
Mestalla is amazing, looks like a multi storey car park from the outside but it's got a cracking atmosphere. Was there for Zidane's first ever La Liga game for Madrid and they were beaten by that brilliant Valencia team who won the title that season.
I did the ‘stop it’ for the first and last times during Forestieri’s tenure (6 to 9 years or so ago?) when previously we were starved of flair like that since the 80’s (so I hear). I miss those simpler times.
Delighted to see TAA and Keita will be fit. If we are going to get hammered, it’s better to lose to a full strength, motivated, rested and on form Liverpool.
Burnley have a tough game, Everton are at an inconsistent Spam. All we can really do today is try to protect our GD as much as possible, and prey other results don't go against us. In those terms it's business as usual.
Can't wait for 11.30 and the news we have Kucka Cleverely and Cathcart as our spine for today. It's no wonder the GK is a gurning buffoon when he sees this lot in front of him shitting the bed every time the ball comes near them.
People reckon West Ham will play a weaker side tomorrow with their Europa league game in the week so a chance for Everton too ?
What ...... you mean Sarr didn't embark on a 5-day celebration after beating Egypt like he did last time ??? .... good for him, good for us
Decent lineup, but it probably won't matter. If we somehow get something from this game, I'll be more surprised than I was when we beat them 3-0.
You said “so I hear” so I’m guessing you became a fan during the post-Boothroyd era (sorry if I’ve got this completely wrong)? We did have Ramage, Richard Johnson, Hyde, Smith, Gravelaine, Wooter, Nielsen, Galli, Young, Bouazza, King, Adam Johnson, Graham and Sordell out of the top of my head.
I wonder if we have seen the last of WTE? Yes he has been injured, but hasn't been in the side since his clumsy challenge at Brentford.
Agreed it’s as though there has been a falling out/attitude issue ? Crazy he’s not even in the squad.
Helgusson, DeMerrit, Stewart (he was pants), Mooney, Perpatweeni* (sp?), Chamberlain, Dyche, Spring,, so many others too. *only played very few games, but did score in a 3-2 win over Southampton in 2000.
