There is definitely a lot to like about the fella. He's had his wobbles in some games but is such a breath of fresh air to see him in a Watford shirt. A massive improvement at left back and has quickly formed a decent understanding with Samir. Unfortunately I believe it's too late.
If the worst were to happen, and as you all know I am not accepting that it will, I think he is the type of player that probably would stay and give his best for us to bounce straight back, I also think Samir and Kayembe would too.
At the end of the day if they have a 50% salary cut clauses in their contracts they signed them and even if that were to happen I would not be surprised if they would still be better off than what they were before coming to us.
Likely quite a bit worse than they will be when they sign for another Prem team off the back of their performances for us, however. I don't see who would be in for Kayembe, or particularly why he'd be itching to get out given his level and position in the team, but I don't see any reason why Samir or Kamara would agree to stay if they have any choice in the matter - particularly given the fact that Kamara turns 28 in three days (as does Samir at the end of the year).
Many of us have given up doing things for ourselves knowing that you’ll watch the game 24-72hrs later and try and gaslight us into thinking we were wrong and watched a completely different game. I’d rather you just read the interview, tell me what your thoughts are so then I can safely assume the opposite is true.
TuT knows damn well I think Kamara will stay come what may, so there is no way I am going to feed his piss taking
Rapidly becoming one of my favourite players. Has good spirit and is probably the best left back we have had since holebas. Hope he stays if we go down, I reckon we could convince him to start my for a season.
If Dennis decides to stay, I can see Kamara, Sissoko and Samir staying. If Dennis moves, most of the players might expect us to struggle in the Championship. Regardless, I really don't want Sarr in our team next season. I hope Newcastle come for him in the summer but the way they are desperate to get a deal done for Nantes Moses Simon before the summer, I think they eventually realize that Sarr is overrated. And with Liverpool already having Jota and Diaz as options, I can't see Klopp signing a player who isn't an upgrade on the players he already have. So we might actually be stuck with him because I can't see any other team apart from Newcastle dumb enough to pay good money for him. Sent from my TECNO P701 using Tapatalk
Well if Sarr stays we will have a much greater chance of bouncing back ! He won’t and nor will anyone worth a bit of money .
I see ‘Dennis might play in the Champo’ is the new ‘Deulofeu might play in the Champo’. More chance of seeing Sheridan Smith playing for us in the Champo. And she’s in everything at the moment.
I don't want to see Smith playing for us next season, not now she's done that ridiculous plastic work on her face. I mean why on earth??....she's gone from a really sweet looking girl to a shiny varnished mannequin.
That is the trouble - people have these high expectations of what they might want to see or hope to so it crushes them when that doesn't happen. They'll probably still be writing "Piss the league" though when we just have the likes of Clevs, Sema, Cathcart, King and a few kids/those back from loan spells.
You might be right though. I was just thinking Ekong will stay, so he might convince Dennis to stay too. Am not so sure it will happen too. Sent from my TECNO P701 using Tapatalk
Yeah, we might bounce back because the Championship is actually his level. Sent from my TECNO P701 using Tapatalk
if you feel that dread to think what level you think some of our other players should be at! I mean I know Sarr probably wasn't worth 40 million and can be marked out of a game but usually can still be one main threat in attack if given the ball.
I mean there is no chance that Dennis is here but I reckon there is a decent chance that at least one of Samir or Kamara will hang about. Just a hunch though. Don’t really care re Sissoko - I think he’d do a good job in the Championship but he’s probably a high earner and I’d like us to build around players the right side of 30.
Wasn't enough to keep Deulofeu even though his knee looked like it'd been in a blender. I think Udinese will take a few more off our hands when the wantaways are unwanted. Maybe even Sarr.
