Ranieri Sacked

A few people in the thread making similar comments which my post could have been a response to.

 

Fair, just seemed a little redundant as a response to me as you wrote 'It doesn't matter that it's still not announced yet.', which was essentially the sole point and message of my own post.

So at the moment he's expecting to be sacked, various places have reported we're looking for his replacement, The Telegraph have basically said he no longer has a job here and yet the club have told him nothing.

Classy stuff from the club again.

In a purely human sense, this is rather vile.

I'm honestly wondering if any other clubs find themselves in these situations, where radio silence is accompanied by multiple briefings from somewhere near the top against their own incumbent manager/head coach and we have these incredibly unpleasant and unfair limbo situations - even in one instance, let alone multiple times - is anyone aware of this?

I usually follow all general higher tier football news in the UK, and I can't think of any off the top of my head.

 

Basically we've signed goalkeeper who is somehow worse than our current ones and Ranieri is sitting by the phone waiting to hear if he has work on Tuesday morning.

I'd rather we just got relegated - I loathe his type of drab football.

You say that, but they did stumble after sacking QSF last time. It took a few weeks before Pearson was appointed.

By happy coincidence, Hayden Mullins had just been sacked by Colchester, so is on hand for a caretaker role.

 

Yeah, I don't think this situation is really the same though - it's not rumours and suggestions that a coach might be under pressure, it's literally the fact that he is leaving having been announced in the national press by multiple sources over a period of 24 hours, and yet he is still 'in the dark', having heard nothing from his employers - yet also can't, of course, have escaped the 'news' in reality, as attested to by this latest article from the Wobby.

 

Whoever comes in has an impossible job on their hands motivating those spineless d I c k s.

 

And yet this time, knowing that Ranieri and the Pozzo family are close, they’ve managed to find a way to make even their usual behaviour in these matters, worse.

Just a vile way to behave. Ranieri should resign and release a statement laying bare just how awful these actions are.

But surely if he resigned they wouldn't then have to pay up his contract?

Funny nuno's name has been mentioned and as it has also said before about our 4 at the back not being good enough ,his system is 352 so I'm on board

 

A fair point but I doubt he is really desperate for the cash. It’s a only a short term contract. Who knows what his motivation is but I suspect he’s quite a proud man.

If it were me and I had the wealth he does, I’d sooner save my dignity and walk. If they are as good friends as we are told, he’d get paid anyway and Gino would understand his decision.

 

Genuinely, some of our manager payoffs would each pay for the transfer fee of one of the players that have been mentioned over on the Yokuslu thread.

No real reason to want the club to behave responsibly or try and avoid crazy unnecessary expenditure on another failed experiment, though - the money is of no practical use...
