I was more suggesting it was a very convenient time for him to be called up and whether we had influenced that rather than the transfer fee. Seems to have fallen a bit flat though.
Excellent news. Glad we are getting deals done quickly this Window. With Etebo and Sarr still out, we need a new face to fill in that gap that isn't Tufan. I hope he does well.
If he’s good enough to the point where we can bring him straight into the first team, that’s great news and a superb signing. Otherwise, if he’s going to come here and rot in our terrible youth team, he may as well stay where he is discretely until the end of the season.
If he doesn't come straight here and we are relegated we now have a terrible wait to see if he will actually ever play for us.
I reckon there's a special WhatsApp group for Pervis Esputinan, Luis Suarez and Martin Devaney, they'll welcome another member to their group.
Even if he can't walk in to the first team, that is good news. He could provide good cover in a few different positions.
He looks outrageously good. Built like a corner flag but seemingly just bounces around the midfield like an enthusiastic puppy.
https://gianlucadimarzio.com/it/udinese-watford-calciomercato-news-18-gennaio-2022 The English club bought him but has not yet registered him because he is waiting for a work permit in England. If the young attacking midfielder does not get it, Watford could turn him over to Udinese No real update, but it does sound increasingly like the main plan is to bring him here this window.
If he's waiting for a work permit decision, logically he must have applied for one. I doubt they'd have bothered if he didn't have a good chance so that's great news if true. Fingers crossed!
There's a 20% sell-on clause, which I imagine will be a nice little earner in the future for Envigado.
For those that wanna watch more - there's videos here of every action he made in his last 8 games for his club - https://www.dropbox.com/sh/tz1xqlk5hh4hmv0/AACCoTbQzTIw6GXt31FAQxXoa?dl=0 that were put up in the Loanees Videos thread.
Raah! This lad looks crazily good for a 17 year old boy. He is built like a pencil but technically brilliant.
Am very impressed with his reading of the game and his awareness. Always dropping into pockets of space and looking to make an incisive pass that takes out 2 or 3 opposition players. Made several interceptions that looked easy because he read the game. You can tell he's already won the respect of his international teammates as they constantly giving him the ball to make the play. Very rare to see that in such a young player. Obviously that game was played at a different pace to the EPL, but he looks to have the technique and tight control to play at that speed. Will need to bulk up though. Maureen from the canteen can help out with that.
