They’ve now played the wrong national anthem for Mauritania

But Ian Wright says this major tournament deserves more respect

No wonder Dennis wasn't bothered about playing in that joke of a tournament.

Is he at a Senegal training camp or at some sort of a rehab centre for us?

The whole Sarr thing is getting very tedious.

I really hope that if he does play for Senegal at AFCON 22 that he is genuinely fully fit. If that is the case then all well and good, but if there is any doubt whatsoever I do not believe Senegal should have the final say on his fitness, which I believe is the current regulation.

I think it should be left up to the club he plays for or at the very least an INDEPENDANT medical professional provided by the football powers that be, to make the decision about his fitness to play or not.

What a terrible tournament this has been. The standard has been absolutely woeful but it did introduce me to a country I had genuinely never heard of! Comoros

It's just Sarr running on the spot in his Senegal training kit. Clearly two fingers up at the club.

Nigeria won't miss him at the world cup though, they've got talented players in attack. Dennis is the one to lose out.

I doubt it, I'm sure Nigeria won't make the same mistake twice.

Of course Senegal have World cup play-off games at the end of March - surely they'd rather have a fully fit Sarr ready for those than risk further injury in this tournament.

A 0/0 draw for Senegal - maybe shows why they are so keen for Sarr to play?

Lacking the ability to create goals .

Seems like Pape Gueye was withdrawn from the Senegal lineup at the last minute due to FIFA suspending him due to the transfer dispute. I’m struggling to load the dodgy links to the articles but seems like quite the development.

Seems a bit odd to ban him in the middle of an international tournament when Marseille acted as badly but Senegal didn’t. Should have banned him for Marseille 2 years ago and then forced them to compensate us.
