    Compare the same squad with the same players 2018 to 2019

    2019 'just crap at PL level'... except that doesn't then explain much of 2018

    Football is complex, and success or failure is a fine line depending on a complex combination of variables - talent, luck, form, health, coaching, confidence etc etc

    I don't see it as binary... you will of course disagree and think most of the squad are sh1t full stop

    Not really much need for the last sentence is there?

    I don’t think most of the squad are sh1t actually so you’re wrong (again). I think the majority are average with a handful of real quality players. Sadly there’s is a percentage of the squad that are really not cut out for this level of football because they are either not ready yet - or they are crap at PL level. And sadly the vast majority of those that are crap are defenders.

    It is binary in regards to what we have seen from our defenders this season. The number of goals conceded and unforced errors made tell the story. Saying it’s down to ‘confidence’ is ridiculous. They haven’t been good enough because they simply aren’t good enough.

    But then again, I vividly remember you throwing insults around at the start of the season at anyone who dared to point out that the defence was short on numbers and quality so I am not surprised you can’t see it now because you would be admitting you were wrong.

    You said something along the lines of you wouldn’t waste your time discussing with anyone who had seen our defence last season and believed they wouldn’t be good enough because they were clueless (or something along those lines).

    I think most of the squad are sh!t. Only Sissoko, JP, King, Dennis and Sarr get into other teams in this league. Ngakia, Cucho and Louza at a push.
