And the wind. And the sleet. Really only the relentless cloud, wind, sleet, flooding, ice, slush and god awful two days a year above thirty degrees that get to me.

I agree with this. I have lived in many arid, dusty brown places.

I like it is not too hot usually. Nothing worse than trying to sleep in a sweaty bed with a squelchy wet sheet.

I like the frosts. It kills off all the wasps and flies. We have few basstad mosquitos and fewer basstad cockroaches than most countries as a result.

Also I like having seasons and things looking different in the countryside all the time.

In saying this, I miss the summer for a while as it goes.

My preference would always be summer, light mornings, late evenings and nice warm weather. I detest the cold and love living in thsirt and shorts for as long as possible. That said, as I’ve got older I’ve started to enjoy this period now, as it gets darker and colder. When it’s warm and sunny out, if you’re not out in it, then it feels like you’re wasting it, whereas when the nights draw in and it gets cold, it feels nicer to be indoors with a glass of wine knowing that is the best place for you.

Once xmas is out of the way then those feeling are long gone and I’d generally kill for summer to roll around.

I’m the other way round. When I was younger I didn’t really mind about the winter but now I count the weeks until it’s over. The weather in 2020 was excellent (for the UK) from April until autumn but 2021 in comparison has been just awful apart from September. I would always look to go somewhere reliably warm for a holiday now.

Again not a meteorologist but have these people not heard of wind or seen clouds moving before?

I suppose it could be that but it seems far more likely that someone (or something!!!) is seeding clouds laden with mind control chemicals.

I like most of the seasons.
The cold and frost and snow of winter. Being able to go in and be warm and snug (End November to end Jan)
The bright apricity of the sun in spring with fresh hope for the year (mid April - mid June)
The sun and day length of the summer with BBQs outside and the chance of sun burn (Mid June- end September)
Then the slow encroaching of darkness, the smell of bonfires, Halloween, hot chocolate of Autumn (October and most of November)

I don't like that stupid season that is kind of after winter but before spring February though mid April, they can get in the ******* sea, boring. nothing happens, no one comes, no one goes, its awful, dull, grey and rainy

That's just the point. In many, many countries it only clouds over when it's going to rain. Here we have cloudy skies as a default setting and people are amazed when the sun comes out.

They and the 5G loons seem to think the World is run by Austin Powers Dr Evil types, thinking up bizarre and esoteric ways of muhahahaha type malarkey.

To be fair sometimes you come across as thinking the world is run by media mogul baddies from secret volcano locations.

    Boo! That’s so unfair.

I have the simple POV that the World is run by the 1 or 2% of people who own 98% of it. They are not especially bad or good people, they are just able to shape the narrative so this never changes. And they don’t do this via bizarre gadgets, it’s done in plain sight.

I like foxes. We've got a family of them in the back garden. Would love to do some weeding, but don't want to ruin their habitat.

The irony of their admirable but excessive and perhaps misguided empathy for a lone foxes plight, is they were probably chowing down on a KFC burger at the time.

A chicken, who otherwise may have delighted at the demise of one of its enemies, if it hadnt been destined to spend its short and horrific life in a battery farm owned by its primary enemy.

I wouldnt be so sure with your cynicsim.

Here is the same picture taken of a tree in my garden showing just how rapidly it has degenerated from verdant green to a lifeless brown culminating in a deathly white powder covering everything, that could only be explained by some kind of chemical degradation.

Most worrying of all it happened in just a 6 month period from mid July to late December.

Oh yes me too, the original post was this person moaning about them being in their garden, so I was pleased that the response, in the main, was overwhelmingly pro fox. I just thought it was funny they believed foxes should stick to the ‘countryside’.

On our local Whatsapp group one of the contributors, an older woman, keeps on sending (presumably) inadvertent voice messages.

These rarely have any interesting content, but at some point, on a Whatsapp group somewhere in the World, something is going to get shared that really shouldn’t have been.

The funny thing is that her picture is her cat so you are left with the feeling that it is the cat trying to make contact and tell us something important.
