I’ve watched it at least 30 times. When he takes his glasses off and flicks the arms closed you know he means business.

 

This is completely illegible to me. It's like one of those apps that just create random paragraphs of meaningless words.

People are free to have their views about asylum and immigration, but quite why it needs to come with such hostility and ignorance is beyond me. There’s certainly no recognition that even to leave your family for economic reasons for a dangerous journey like that isn’t just a whim. ‘Cowardly’ simply isn’t a reference point.

There was certainly too much self righteous finger pointing from the remain side of the Brexit debate, but some people seemed to have embraced their stereotype with both hands.

We’re off to a Cornish caravan site on Saturday for a week. Last week we had an email from them signposting us to their Facebook page and I duly (stupidly) decided to join.

Im not sure if it exists in Watford but my local is full of middle class North Londoners and their 'oh so arduos ' 1st World problems.

Scrolling down the invitation to view videos of the deceased when alive, and fully preparing to see one of the kids my son may have played with in the streets, I am surprised but relieved to see that her darling boy was a Tabby cat called Thomas, who Im pretty sure used to regularily sh1t and p1ss in my garden after trying to rape my 2 female cats every breeding season.

 

Here’s a classic example from a while back that needed some whiskey fuelled trolling .

So now my holiday has been and gone I just have to say this Facebook group is absolute gold. Mainly absolute eijits but the occasional nugget of gold and so I’ve decided to stay in the group.

As we speak they’re arguing about whether cheesy chips taking an hour to be served is acceptable or not. Someone has waded in with a full blown ‘if you were a good parent you wouldn’t be feeding your kids cheesy chips’ and ‘[the caravan site] is doing it’s best, there’s a global pandemic you know’. The best post though was the chap who shoehorned the events in Afghanistan into the cheesy chips parenting row….

 

I can't find it now, but I saw in a Nextdoor thread a couple of days ago, someone was asking about foxes leaving faeces in their garden, then an argument ensued where someone brought up something about Afghanistan in a similar way.

 

Brilliant! I love an indignant holiday spat between strangers. I bet at least two of the correspondents have either thick northern or whiny brummie accents.

 

Next door is gold, mine is 90% old people posting about scam calls and emails from HMRC and so forth.

There was a funny one the other day, someone snapped a kingfisher sitting by a stream, they were concerned there might not be any fish in the stream
and wanted to know if they should try and feed it.
