I think he could probably do a job at championship level given regular game time. He was probably a little bit hard done by with the amount of game time Success and Gray got over him, but he never really took his chances when he got them. I assumed he would be heading out on loan so getting £1.5m for him seems decent business.
What's better than one big, injury prone and surprisingly weak lump upfront? Two of them! Come on Barnsley you know you still want him...
What was the team? Many first team players, or mainly U23's? I know Saints had a few U18's in their lineup, so it was a poor result for Watford even if it was mainly U23's.
Bloke was shunned in favour of Deeney and Gray last season, and we didn't even dignify him with training kit by the looks of it, so I don't blame him for sacking it off!
Yes mainly youngsters apart from Hughes, Perica and TDB. Without being a regular watcher of the U23s it was difficult to tell who some players were and Watford social media seem to ignore the fact the U23s were playing so no team sheets etc. Full line up available at https://www.stalbanscityfc.com/event/st-albans-city-vs-watford-fc-27072021/
That can’t be right - it lists Wise and Abbott who were playing at Stevenage. And I believe Agyakwa was on the bench for that one too.
Must admit I don't remember seeing Wise there, he's probably one of the few I'd recognise. WFC less than helpful in saying who played, the website still shows all U23 games are yet to be played.
There's a bit of me that would like to think he was there today, but at 3.20 a steward tapped him on the shoulder and threw him out a side gate.
On the club site, says gone to Tel Aviv (spelling) but did not say what the fee was. I actually thought he was a decent player who was not really given much of a chance. Good luck Stipe.
