How does Perica still not get a final chance to show what he can do from the start? Other than that, I'm fine with that - resting our key players for next season and hopefully having this be a "farewell" to most of the rest in the squad (including TD for his 2 minutes off the bench).
Well it's only Bournemouth affected should Swansea avoid defeat and even then that stills rely on them having to win themselves so the Cherries cannot complain too much. Maybe if they had beaten 10 men Brentford...or Wycombe they might be 4th themselves. I suspect if fans had been there we would see a better side though and I agree we could have given a few youngsters a go ahead of dead wood players.
I paid my tenner, I now hope that someone sorts out it out so that I get a phone call from Jason Drysdale.
I get giving a few players a chance, but what an absolute joke of a line up. Very likely going to end our season with back to back losses. The fact that Wilmot STILL can't get any game time is ridiculous as well.
I've noticed that Swansea defend man to man with literally every single player other than the 2 zonal markers (one central + front post) this leaves a great area open for a pass to create a first time shot (no hitting the first man - yay!). As you can see from the video, a few teams have tried this against Swansea this season with varying degrees of success but since they haven't actually conceded from it they've made no efforts to change up the way they defend. The routine at the end is the one I've recommended, it's a simple pass into the penalty area, so as long the pass is along the ground (rather than a bouncing ball!) and the blocks work as intended we *should* at least create a decent effort from it.
Why is it we rotate to the extent Navarro and Lazaar get games but Sema still starts despite being knackered and very poor for the last 2 months??? Who cares but what a bizarre selection form Munoz. Not worth watching.
We're playing most of those players because if we don't it'd mean having to risk some of our key first-teamers. Zinckernagel doesn't have the pace to play right wing. The fact we won't play him there tells you enough about the extent to which the club thinks he's up to it.
I missed it as was having a wee but apparently so, will wait till it's on the football platforms later so I can watch it back!
Sadly it was the first action that failed! Can't take a great deal from it other than Zinc can't pass.
A win sealed with a Success screamer and a Navarro assist. What a funny thread this turned out to be. Xisco out etc etc
Got to say that was impressive given the team. Played well and that was out of the blue from Success!
Ahhh we of little faith! I deservedly lost a fiver on that, but was actually a very accomplished performance. Lazaar played very well, success scored a screamer and even gray managed to be in the right place at the right time. tops off an excellent season at vicarage road. well done xisco and co.
Gray said in his interview afterwards that we were 'professional' and that's pretty fair really - felt like a pre-season game at all times and the starting lineup was comedic, yet we were never troubled and won 2-0 equalling the defensive Championship record for a season, which is an amazing achievement. Swansea should be ashamed of themselves and they are surely going absolutely nowhere in the playoffs (though that isn't greatly surprising).
