My son had £5 on gosling as first goal scorer at 16/1, a few weeks ago he put £10 on Sema to score the first goal at home to Birmingham at 10/1, any requests for Saturday!
I'm not having that Had The Kid been in charge at the beginning of the season we would probably be in mid-table at best right now. I very much doubt he would have been able to steer us through the period up to the close of the first transfer window, when Vlad had to use a lot of 2nd string players and he did not know who would still be at the club from one day to the next. IMO Vlad deserves quite a lot of credit for what we have done so far this season and does not deserve to be slagged off on this forum.
Interesting that both our goals against Norwich this season were pretty much the same. Wonder if that was intentional?
Norwich website seems to be suggesting they’re cacking their pants at going up: https://www.canaries.co.uk/News/2021/april/daniel-farke-post-watford/ Little old Watford put on some sort of PL masterclass if Farke’s comments are to be believed.
Farke , in his post match presser, said it was a very tight game that was decided by a goal from defensive errors. LOL
Potentially this is correct. Bournemouth play Millwall tomorrow. If they fail to win that, then beat Brentford in the early game on Saturday, then we'll be up (virtually). Only Swansea could equal us, but seeing as their GD is much worse than us, we'll be as good as promoted without kicking a ball.
They presumably mean the players at watford. I doubt the starting lineup alone had 1k, but clevs, cathcart, hughes, chalobah, foster, deeney, femeniaand even gray have a lot between them.
Brentford snatch a draw at Bournemouth and we avoid defeat against Millwall, and we are confirmed promoted. I think it was Brentford who promoted us last time against Middlesbrough? Anyway if we win and another defeat for Norwich on Saturday, and we would even have an outside chance of winning the league
There will be a gritting of teeth for a few fans of the bigger clubs in the Championship seeing what they will view as 3 smaller clubs going up. Us Norwich And whoever wins the play-offs. I remember on the Stoke site not so long ago they were fuming at how we looked like bouncing back whilst they've been stuck in lower mid table since relegation.
I'm sure someone on here posted 3 months ago something along the lines of it would be good to see Gosling hitting the winner that gets us promoted.? He sort of has.! It's great that we've had some massive goals by Gosling/Massina/Sema (insert name here) that have helped us get here..
All the local football results mentioned EXCEPT our mighty win at Norwich on Look East just now. I know the studios are based in Norwich but come on, you can't sweep it under the carpet and pretend it didn't happen. COYH
Well done lads! Brilliant to a man. Was critical of Gosling’s signing but how wrong was I, what a huge goal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
"We're still fighting for this title, and they've got to go to QPR and get something, and... and... I'll tell you, honestly, I will love it if we beat them, love it!"
From the utter despair on Saturday afternoon to the sheer elation of this evening. This is what defines being a football supporter of your club, particularly your local club, the club you grew up supporting. The proposed Euro Super League can f@rk right off as this is what football is all about. It belongs to us the ordinary supporter not the mega-rich, morally bankrupt oligarchs that infest our game. I've said it before that we are Norwich's bogey team and we have proved it once again. Thank you the players and coaching staff for putting it right again. It was so much needed. To my fellow supporters, prepare for promotion, we are almost there. C'MON YOU 'ORNS-ah
That was a great watch. Would have been more enjoyable as a neutral, but just a really entertaining game. Such a stark contrast compared to Saturday's performance, but an absolutely brilliant shift from all tonight. Let's do the business on Saturday now at Fortress Vic and everyone can stop concerning themselves with the extraordinary permutations.
