have to be honest when the line up came out (and I like Cathcart) didn’t see how he would work on the wing supporting Sarr, but he was superb , pushing forward , making sure he was back when needed.

 

Can you imagine the premier league elites playing on some of the pitches we have seen this year if some of the lower more unfashionable clubs managed to get promotion

 

Holebas would have been great in the championship

 

Apparently the other players couldn't cope with it and just called him "Tony Thingy".

 

To be fair, Leeds went up last year with an absolute ploughed field for a pitch. Making it into a bowling green is only really doable with time and PL money.

 

Muff will win their remaining games and will have a better goal difference. We only need 2 points so should be in the bag.

Almost the first thing a promoted team with a poor pitch would do is get it relaid.

 

Luton's strength was their poor pitch.

Plus us gifting them a goal.

They played better than us but couldn't otherwise hit a barn door.

 

I remember the vic in15/16 relaid and it was a big with the lights on it to dry it out

 

They deserved to win all right but still needed several things to go right for them - the awful backpass from our backup LB, Bachmann's rash challenge, him guessing wrong for the penalty and Gray's disallowed goal that was marginally offside. Whereas we went on to deservedly beat the league leaders on their own patch with no luck at all, shows the gulf in class between us if the league table wasn't enough to prove that.

 

I think it's enough.

Wasn't the pitch relaid twice because at some stage it had some kind of chickenpox?

 

More likely to have been Yellow Fever, supporting the Horns is infectious.

 

First time around, they would have been relegated much sooner if it wasn't for that plastic pitch, which was eventually declared illegal. Perhaps in desperation they'll lay mines on it this time.
