Cathcart is due a 'wonder goal' like the one he scored at home to Birmingham during our previous promotion season. This evening would be a good time for it.
Maybe a bit more nervous since Muff turned them over last time out. I can sort of see feel a "let's be avin' you" from Delia performance. If we play anything like we did against Lootown they will win at a canter. I just hope Xisco has had time to go over what went so wrong Saturday.
Given West Ham at this point last season, I’m not even sure that’s enough to make me certain of his involvement.
I really don’t think Emi Buendia is the type to up his game just because a woman who makes pavlovas for a career tells him to.
The only thing I'm concerned with in regards to Norwich is the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre.
Yep. Kaba, mind you, has not played competitively for quite a while. A bit tricky to put him straight in against Norwich , of all teams.
Thoughts on tonight.. That’s a very experienced three in midfield. Should compete well. Pedro out of sorts of late, but has the quality to overcome that and do something special tonight. Need a big performance from Sema, who like JP hasn’t shone much of late. Plenty of experience on the bench too.
Yeah but with Covid ravaging our high streets, we don’t really need to worry about access to Dixon’s.
Quintilla at left back, which is disappointing. He looked very good at the beginning of the season but then got injured and has hardly played since. The right footed Sorensen has generally played when Giannopolis (or whatever) isn't available. Quintilla looked to me to be the best of the three, so let's hope he's very rusty.
Every year Watford have a player that our fanbase seem to think is way better than they actually are. Wilmot isn't better than Sierralta, WTE, Cathcart or Kaba so rightly isn't in the squad IMO. Hungbo also seems to have this mantra. People have seen him play for maybe 45 mins? and think he deserves to start...
I think it’s based on them maybe not being great but better than some other options. On the evidence so far this season, Hungbo deserves to be ahead of Success given the latter has offered nothing at all and doesn’t even look interested. Hungbo will be enthusiastic at least and did nothing wrong in his earlier cameos to result in Success being preferred. I wouldn’t put Wilmot in purely because I wouldn’t break the settled pairing at the back. And I’d probably put Kabasele in if I was to do that - but I’m not convinced WTE is better than Wilmot. Ekong I think marshall’s the line well and is an ‘organiser’. But by god, he’s one of the worst distributors of a ball I’ve ever seen in a yellow shirt. And invites pressure far too much which results in him losing it or smashing it to absolutely no one. The pro’s outweigh the con’s with WTE just about at this level - but not at a higher level.
"That was Big Yellow Taxi by Joni Mitchell, a song in which Joni complains they paved paradise to put up a parking lot, a measure which actually would have alleviated traffic congestion on the outskirts of paradise, something which Joni singularly fails to point out, perhaps because it doesn't quite fit in with her blinkered view of the world."
Is anyone else having problems with Sky Sports via Sky Q? Every Sky Sports channel bar Sky Sports PL isn't working for me, even on Sky Go on the PC which doesn't connect via the Q box or satellite.
Kabs at fullback could have been a shout. He's certainly quicker than Cathcart! Not looking forward to this, at all!
Munoz quite forthrightly saying in the pre match interview that we'll see the very best Watford tonight. Nice to hear, albeit quite unusual for a manager to say!
This is perhaps the first time I can remember feeling concerned before a game vs Norwich. Masina returning is good for us, and I'm pleased Cathcart has been picked ahead of Navarro. However, I'm not convinced by Gosling, and JP has been trash for ages now and I thought Gray was worth a start. Pukki back for them is also annoying.
