Okedokes No editing which 23 do you take? Those closest to the actual team travelling get some orns.

    My Picks.

    GK James, Robinson, Green.
DF Johnson, Ashley Cole, Terry, Ferdinand, Upson, Lescott, Brown, Baines,
MF Barry, Lampard, Beckham, Gerrard, Joe Cole, Ashley Young, SWP,
    Carrick.
    FW Crouch, Rooney, Agbonlahor, Defoe

So we are saying what WE want the squad to be, or what we predict Capello will pick?

I agree with this but Capello says he likes big men up front so if Heskey will probably be Crouch's backup player.

Gareth Barry instead of Ashley Young as we dont need to take 5 wingers!

Why not? Yes, he hasn't played many games for Man Utd this season, but he's got big-game experience, and when he has played he's had a good time of it. I wouldn't mind him coming along as back up.

I might have a photo to prove it somewhere. I didn't realize he was likely to make the World Cup roster.

Only changes I would make to this is Carrick out for Huddlestone and Neville in for Richards.

G Johnson Richards Ferdinand Lescott Dawson Terry Cole Baines

Lennon A Johnson Gerrard Lampard Milner Barry Young Walcott

    Rooney Defoe Crouch Zamora

Would definitely have King and Woodgate instead of Lescott and Ferdinand if they weren't always injured! And as for Gary Neville :dismay:

Does anyone want to explain why taking Neville wouldn't be a good idea or are they just going to continue posting smilies? Played very well for Man Utd this season a lot of the time whilst regaining fitness. Been one of the most underrated players in world football in the last decade, massively consistent and has the experiance.

Another factor in favour, who else would go with Johnson in the right back slot? Brown? No. Richards, maybe, but hasn't played enough for me.

Neville can't go. Purely because he's been trying to grow a tache his whole career. And failed.
