Good lower Premier League player. I think he will be in the Premiership like Munari in the Championship. A solid option with quality and aggression, but perhaps not consistent enough to be the only DM option.
€10m for this guy and Santon according to an Italian journalist on Twitter. Pozzos splashing the cash now.
And no, you're right. They've incredibly managed to be involved in Italian top flight football for 30 years and made no contacts in the game whatsoever. Ffs Pozzos.

KUZMANOVIC LONDON-BOUND? OFF SKY SPORTS Watford have agreed a deal with Inter Milan to sign Zdravko Kuzmanovic, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The deal is reported to be worth €3million, and the decision has now been left to the player, who is also said to be considering other offers in the Bundesliga. Watford are looking to strengthen their side ahead of their first season in the Premier League since 2006-07.
Just a link... http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...3362036.Hornets_target_opts_for_Basel_return/ Don't get me wrong, I am pretty peed off that we are unable to attract some of the players we are going for, but I also believe we can survive next season with a few minor tweaks, rather than the pushing for glory that we seem to be going for. Get in Gueds, and a few other others of his ilk, rather than Serie A's nearly best player, and I think we'll be OK, possibly even in a better position than risking unmotivated and distractable players filling our ranks. I'm really only peed off because I want some more positive news, it seems forever since Prodl and Arlauskis were signed up!
What's funny is who actually even said we were in for him? No-one apart from a few media outlets in Italy and journo who is supposedly ITK Di Marzio yet has got a lot considerably wrong already and it's not even July. Sky Sports never reported it, no confirmation had ever been given, it was all media hype. Maybe we haven't "missed another one" because just maybe, we weren't interested in the first place, we just thought we were because of a couple a papers and a journo.
He used to play for Basel so there's an emotional attachment there. So again it's a lifestyle choice rather than a player saying 'WFC are rubbish and have no chance staying up'.
You are right to say about that, and it is undoubtedly a factor. But I am sure there are circumstances that would have swept aside that emotional pull if they had been right (I suspect a team expected to finish mid table in the PL may have been one of them). It is frustrating that we were not able to create such circumstances, especially as Gino seemed confident of getting his man.
It's so hard to say isn't it. Every player will have his own list of reasons for making a move. For some, money will be the main mitigating factor, like Ayew I think who went to Swansea on big wages. Sadly, we cannot compete with many established mid table PL teams offering 60k a week. For some, it may be country related. One senses Perotti wants to stay in Italy, ditto Santon. I honestly don't know how many players have 'where will my proposed new team finish in the table?' as a big factor. Ironically anybody signing for Newcastle last summer would have thought they were joining a top 10 club yet finished nearly being relegated! I reckon we will get Capoue, who can stay in London and be a big fish in a smaller pond rather than the other way round at Spurs. We are offering Gestede a higher standard of football and a new challenge. I'm sure other players will join us too and really buy in to what we offer and are trying to do.
NOT Fair mistake, and an otherwise fair comment, with all the bull in the press it was unfortunate that this is the only actual deal, or double deal, that Gino has reportedly commented on.
He sounded spectacularly average. The fact that people were on here calling it a 'statement of intent' made me chuckle.
