...and we have listened. It all for the good of the national squad - making it better - just like the Premier League was promised to do.
I would think a better way to boost England's international hopes would be to train players who aren't useless.
Or pick people who play and are in form, rather than just because they are in the squads of the top 6 clubs.
Yep, and if young players thought their chances of playing for England would be reduced rather than enhanced by being in a top 6 squad then they would be more likely to choose another premier league team, who will actually play them, to go to. Good for the EPL, the national team and the young English players.
The England team is supposed to flop because our players are all knackered because they don't have a winter break. But if they play for a top 6 club they're usually not regulars, so they get a lot of breaks. If they played for lower clubs, they'd play more games and then the winter the winter break argument would actually hold water
As the apparent 'tug of war' between England and Scotland about McSomeoneorother who's played 3 games for Man Utd proves. Whatever happened to that Rashford guy? Bet he can't wait for the World Cup to get some playing time.
Southgate can’t even decide on the best keeper. He’s the Private Pike of management. Making Martin ‘Glenners’ Glenn the Captain Mainwaring. Makes you yearn for Private Walker, aka Terry Venables.
What’s happening to Rashford is becoming close to tragic for himself and for England. He should have been developing his game as an ‘off the shoulder’ striker like the young Michael Owen, but the Vain One has marginalised him to first playing on the wing and now on the bench or worse. He probably won’t yet, but I believe he needs to get out of Man U to become the player he should be.
Or Mourinho realised what a lot of people thought - the 'best young player in Europe' wasn't anything of the sort, he just played for Man Utd.
