Not the craziest of stories. Marriappa and Bolaisse both live in Watford so maybe he fancies the area and a change
For some odd reason I see them sharing a flat al la Morcambe and Wise, doing 'The Stripper' in the kitchen periodically!
I'm sure it was funnier 40 years ago
Apart from the odd game here and there he hasn't really kicked on from his promotion season, I wonder whether his transfer to Man Utd knocked the motivation out of him?
£15m to Spurs - What does he actually offer in terms of assists and goals? EDIT: 6 Goals and 4 Assists since 2013 in the Prem. EDIT EDIT: He has never made an assist away from home in his Premier League career - awful.
He's a good player, and will only get better. But I don't see him in our current formation at all. So I think it's highly unlikely that we would want him.
I have said many times how I rate him highly but I started supporting us as a kid when Barnes and Cally were in their prime so I love a winger. You are correct though, with our current formation, I do not see where he would fit, I know United looked at him as an attacker a few times but he was deemed not good enough for this and went back to the wing at Palace. Our recent signing suggest we are sticking with 3 at the back so I would say just one of the 372 players we have been linked with this summer.
Since he was a teenager I think Zaha's got worse not better. Going over looking for free kicks & pens is about all he contributes now days.
Could explain why I would be excited to sign him. Never seen him play against anyone else but looks world class against us.
Would be an amazing signing just to stop him twisting us up everytime we play them. He does win a lot of penalties though so Deeney should see his goal tally go up.
