Championship - Watford eye Sylvestre move Eurosport - Sat, 23 Feb 18:55:00 2008 Viktoria Plzen midfielder Ludovic Sylvestre has revealed that he could move to Watford in the summer if the Hornets earn promotion back to the Premier League. Frenchman Sylvestre had trials with Leicester City and Watford in the last six months, but opted not to play in the second tier in England. "The Championship is not an ideal league for me," he told Sport. "The football is very harsh there. "My agent told me that [Watford] were second so I thought they would play a different style of football. "But it was the same: their manager [Aidy Boothroyd] confirmed that the Championship is all about fighting and that they will contact me in the summer if they get promoted." The former Barcelona player is in Plzen on loan from Sparta Prague in order to play first-team football. He has impressed so far in the Czech league.
Even if we are in the Premiership i'm sure he will still be upset with our style!! Sounds like he is a lazy player if he doesn't like the fight of the Championship
It's probable that we will return to the second tier, if we even go up in the first place. If he's got no fight in him, then lets not get him. He just sounds a bit like a Priskin to me. The championship will be too tough for him? ahhh diddums.

Seriously, aside from the lusty and robust Hertfordshire appraisal given above, is it the best tactic for Aidy in attempting to woo highly-skilled, Carlos Kickaball's to tell them that its a right good punch-up this Championship? Also - what miracle is Aidy thinking he is going to pull off if we get promoted? If this involves abandoning the hoofball I might have to reconsider renewing. Scrap 'Z-cars' if you like, but some things are sacred.
