Anyone got any good tips for where to go for a drink in Hull pre-match on Wednesday?

Never been there but sure to get a decent locally brewed real ale.

Might I suggest you have a look here:

I'm sure you'll be able to get a decent pint for about 40p up there.

Drank in some working mans sort of bar near the large car park near the ground. Right near the ground is mainly just home supporters, however this one (£1 to get in), is mixed fans and cheap beer. Not to sure of the name, Sorry.

I have had the The Gardeners Arms on Cottingham Road recommended by a lad studying up there, 1/2 mile-ish from the ground

Yeah sorry I can't make Hull, so you'll have to be on your own this game I think.

    errm

il ask my old man asap the name of the pub (he should remember)

Only way of describing it...when LEAVING the car park, turn right, its on the other side of the road. You wil know what car park, im sure. Its Big.

if you turn left, on the other side of the road is 2 pubs..both home pubs.

Think I know the one you mean, although I didn't have to pay to get into it. It's on the corner of the road isn't it?

The bar/pub on the corner certainly did the job, especially at £2.50 per pint.

I think that they were just astounded that watford fans had the balls to go drinking out in Hull after that match, or that he was just desperate to talk to 'proper' fans who actually go to games, unlike his adorable girlfriend.

It doesn't take "balls" to go out after a loss, surely?

  25. Cude>2<

If it does I must have the biggest "balls" in town!

I meant balls cos it was obvious we were going to get the **** taken out of us severly,

    And?

I couldn't care less if we lose and people want to take the p*ss, people usually do with our support.

  28. Cude>2<

We're Watford, people take the **** out of our shyte support anyway....

    Doesn't take balls at all.

Going out in Burnley for a drink post match takes balls, as me and 5 others found out when we unknowingly walked into their main boozer:eek:

Where as 2 women having a few jibes thrown their way doesn't compare!

Serously, Hull didn't really appeal much as a potential night out... was it good?
