if only francis could have applied the finish to that move we produced 5 minutes from time in the first half, it would have been one of the greatest goals weve scored under boothroyd. anyway we still won and it was lovely to see a change in francis last night, i thought he looked brilliant.
Marriapa clears it, Hendo nods it back, passed back by Francis who runs down the right, hit forward to Hendo who nods it into the path of Francis...who knocks it wide. Can't fault him as he played a good part in the move. Would've been a super goal to score.
Hoskins floated a lovely ball in between two centre halves, Henderson knocked it down first time to Francis who screwed it wide.
Actually it was Hoskins who collected the ball on the touchline, moved inside and clipped a great ball to Hendo who knocked it down into Francis' path but unfortunately he skewed it wide.
oh, vaguely remember someything like that, i dont tend to remember it unless it ends in something! anyone see hoskins flick on with his heel in the second half?
I feel screwed also has a symbolic meaning as it gives a perfect description of Damien Francis' state of mind. Beat that.
That would of been a fantastic goal! I think Hoskins shot would of been a good goal too if Frances hadn't of passed just slightly behind him, so he didn't get the power on the shot.
