Agreed. So. I’m guessing you’ll be watching it too then in spite of the logic not to? I’ve just popped out to Tesco for a load of booze, it makes me feel safer.
My brother and his wife are actually coming to the family home for the weekend and we're having dinner tonight, so it's entirely possible we may be able to avoid it. I'll have to strike a deal with him to pull it off, but we shall see. I could barely take watching the last two Muff games, so this seems like a bridge too far.
Capoue out. Doucoure going to have to step up big time now, something he’s looked incapable of since restart.
This feels massive . It’s not going to be enjoyable but I’m hoping we at least show what we showed in the 2nd half vs Newcastle , then we’ve got a chance . I’m worried about Antonio though, he always scores against us .
Deeney on one leg and one of the highest intecepters in the league replaced by someone who has barely played for the past two years, and barely been able to move when he has. At least Spam's midfield is fairly **** too.
I'm wondering if Doucoure plays deeper and Cleverley is the more advanced of the three. Unfortunately Cleverley is crap and the definition of a nothing player, so it's not great either way.
I really thought all the pre match stuff about Deeney being keen to play was to trick WHAM about our line up. I hope he’s fit enough. I guess we have 5 subs so Pearson can take him off after 85 minutes if necessary.
5 years in the Prem building up to this night. We are relying on a crock midfielder and a crock forward
Not this time. I've finished for the day and it's my weekend orf. Sat out the back in the sunshine with a couple of bottles of Mexican Modelo cerveza and Ciff is busy preparing la comida* and singing along to some Latin ballad woman. I'm ready to be entertained in an hour's time. I hope we win, but if it goes against us, well, worse things happen at sea. I save my fervour for other causes. * A quick reminder to any younger single compañero Hornets who may read this. Forget ideas of being seduced by fleeting youthful beauty. Marry a señora who is competent en la casa. That is the way to contentment in the household.
You could tell one of our main players was going to be out from Pearson's conference yesterday. He just didn't want to give out the name. Will be interesting to see how we cope without Capoue. Doucs could well be pushed back and Clevs could be the most advanced of the three?
I agree, he's not been on it since the restart but still, not sure how we're going to cope in midfield without him.
Pedro and Gray are both on the bench, so if Captain Marvel crocks it, we have Gray. If he goes off... we have... urm,, Pearson.
Anyone else signed up to "The Hornet Hive?" It's pretty good build up with Ms Saunders and she usually has some old pro's like Gifton N Williams, Tommy Smith, Paul Robinson etc. Pretty good banter.
I think our best chance will be to give the ball to Welbeck and Sarr, as both of their fullbacks are their worst players.
