Hello all, Longtime WFC fan, first time poster. Had a question for everyone about tickets. I will be making my first ever trip to the UK from about 4000 miles away at the end of October. Unfortunately I had to plan this trip before I knew the schedule/game times in order to get time off work. Anyways, I will be in town for the match at home against West Ham. Really hoping to get tickets, but wondering the actual likelihood of that happening. Does anyone think there is any chance these tickets will make it to the general sale, and if not is there another method of obtaining tickets? Appreciate the advice!
If you write an email to someone high up at the club and prove you are travelling that distance I am sure they may help you out as it is West Ham, get on the data base now if you can
Thanks for the advice. Signed my friend and I both up on the ticket site and hoping for the best. Will definitely email the club and see what they have to say.
If this is a once in a lifetime style trip, why not go the whole hog and buy the match day hospitality tickets for this match? They were £99 each last season i believe, for the pre match meal, drinks and posh seat on the half way line and meet the man of the match stuff post match. Martine Capitelli is the lady at the club who sells them. Worth it if you're coming all that way and serious about seeing the match. You won't need a ticket history to get them.
That does sound pretty cool. Ideally i'd like to get regular seats so I can get the "full experience" I want to sit amongst the crowd if possible. That definitely sounds like an excellent alternative though. I'm definitely willing to pay that much if it means getting into the match. Any idea if these typically sell out?
The club recently said they would set back some home tickets for exiled hornets. I suggest that would be your starting point with regards to getting a ticket for that match. You may even be lucky to get a seat in the 1881 section if that's what you want, but I'd get in touch sooner rather than later if I were you.
They did say that it would only be for people registered with a Fan ID before last season ended however.
Yes, they do sell out, especially for London based teams that are very popular, like West Ham, but if you contact Martine this week or very soon before people get organised, I think you'll beat the rush. It certainly is a great way to see the match - players like Troy Deeney and Gomes drop in post match win or lose and you will get a chance to speak or get a photo with them. The bad news is you might meet some of the (wealthier) super fans from this board (not me though - I sit in the Upper GT to the left of these corporate seats) This is the contact details that I mean - Ask for Martine.... http://www.watfordfc.com/commercial/hospitality-packages/the_1881_club/index.aspx You will be seated in the main stand amongst the crowd - but there's nothing to stop you going off to the Rookery End and finding a spare seat there. But I guarantee you won't as the view is superb from the centre Upper GT...
Thanks for all the advice everyone. I was in contact with someone last week who said they may be able to hold back tickets since I'm from out of the country. I'm definitely going to contact them about the possibility of getting the hospitality package this week though and see what all my options are. I don't care what way I get my tickets as long as I'm able to get into the match.(And don't have to spend too obscene an amount)
It wont be £99 this season. I would imagine they'll add at least £30 for the seat so I reckon £149 in 1881 club.
