Didn't the ducking beat us 6-0, albeit with a penalty to us and 2 offside goals so maybe 4-1. Ah I see now, last season I'm talking faeces. Either way they were enjoyable to watch or something.

Sky hits pretty much all Watford in the highlights. Then they said Watford just about deserved the point at the end....

Back in 2008 I think, with Boothroyd in charge, we were top of the Championship but playing hoofball. West Brom came to town and destroyed us with their slick football and their fans sung "3-0 to the football team". It hurt at the time because we all knew it to be true.
How things have changed! However I've never met a Baggie who I didn't like so I feel for them a bit.

Palace fans were particularly nasty towards myself and my, (then), 9 year old son when we lost at Wembley in the cup semi final, and towards us all in general after the playoff defeat.
    F*** them.

Yesterday was a good day to be a hornet .

It is enjoyable watching a team that actually wants to win a game, then actually tries to win it, and even better when we have a chance of winning it. These three factors cause defences to make mistakes like last week and to commit poor fouls, like this week.
    Win or lose.

Although obviously more enjoyable if we win!

Great takle from Holebas at the end and I love the bit where Carrillo is tustling with the WB left back, turns him inside out and then tries to lob the keeper.

Lovely pictures Jossy. Weird that as the equaliser goes in, in 3 of those pictures Johnny Evans looks quite happy. He's probably fed up with Pulis and wants a move to Watford.

What's up with the extract from Psalm 23 running along the electronic hoardings in those pics? Odd thing to see at a football match.

Watched all of that expecting a great post match review. I guess eff off will have to do ;)

I like Baggies fans, normally very fair and until their recent style of play were a club I would have liked us to emulate tbh.

Ps did anyone see the tweet from Doucoure? Really shows what a great team spirit Silva has created.

It's not electronic but painted, permanent lettering. I think it's because the fans need some eternal reassurance to look at instead of the horrible football the manager serves up.

That draw felt like a win - I just love our spirit.
Clever of us to not win as it will lull Arsenail and Chelski into a sense of false security

If that's the case I feel sorry for those fans in the West Stand having to turn round to get their reassurance, as if their necks weren't stiff enough from watching the flight of the ball week in week out!

    From an Albion forum :

they looked miles better than bournemouth or west ham of the home games I've seen. Outside the top 6 they're as good as anyone

The real question is "Are you (me) still living at home".

Well in short, no... I was forced to pack my bags aswell as cleaning up the stains on the walls.

Right now, im standing outside Esso in Garston in a white coffee stained shirt waiting for someone to offer me a place to live... Thanks Richy.

    Some observations;

Gibbs looked decent and its a shame we missed him, however I dont think we do miss him as Holebas is doing very well and if you look closely you'll see a smile on the highlights at the end. Becoming part of Watford fc game by game.

Just watching the highlights, noticed that the foul was committed before the minimum of 4 minutes stoppage time were elapsed, making Pulis look even sillier. What's the ref supposed to do, not allow the free kick?

Richarlison has everything. Pace, strength, skill, eye for goal, heading ability, tackles well and can shoot. The only thing you could level at him is knowing when to pass, but I think his willingness to have a pop himself is highly commendable and helps set up chances later in the game when defenders expect a shot..

If a spin bowler bowls 10 overs of off breaks it becomes readable and easier to play, until the armball appears and carries on straight. Bowling 3 off breaks and 3 arm balls in an over isnt clever as it removes the suprise from the arm ball.

If a right footed left winger cuts inside every time and has a shot, it's predictable and easier to read. Until the time when he does a step over and goes to the byline to cross with the left. Richarlison can do both and makes it look easy.

If Richarlison usually tries for a shot, it becomes predictable but when he plays his arm ball, and flicks a pass in for Gray/Deeney it'll catch the defenders who are setting up for Richarlison to try on his own.

If he was greedy and not a team player it could be a problem, but it seems he's willing to work hard for the team so theres no problem at all.

Getting way ahead of myself here but, imagine the meltdown if we actually finished 5th or 6th above Arsenal and Liverpool or at least one of them. In years to come you would see the 17/18 PL season eradicated from to archives never to be seen again. It will become an urban legend that Watford finished that season higher than one, possibly two, of the big clubs.

Back to the game though and I know this had already been mentioned but McClean's dirty tackle on Richarlison happened on the 93rd min and 53sec mark, so well within the extra 4mins anyway. Plus Richarlison scored on the 94th min and 37sec mark, hardly well into the 95th minute as Pulis moaned.

West Brom are getting close to being my most disliked team in the Prem this season. Bournemouth are still winning at the moment though.

  28. and another:
"We were extremely lucky to go 2-0 up completely against the run of play through a moment of utter brilliance from Krychowiak with a perfectly weighted ball and great finish from our much derided striker and of course another corner. Watford were always going to come back into the game and they should have won it. They outplayed us from start to finish and played exactly the kind of football i wanted to see us play, on another day they'd have beaten us 3-0 with consummate ease but they lacked end product yesterday.

How people can continue to support our manager and the way we play is beyond me. Silva schooled him yesterday."

Putting aside the fact that added time is always billed as a 'minimum of', and that the referee is ultimate timekeeper anyway and can continue play for as long as he feels necessary, the answer to your question is yes. The only scenario the Laws of the Game allow time to be extended for is a penalty yet to be taken. All other set pieces or attacking moves don't benefit from the same protection. So Oliver would have been well within his rights to end the game before the free kick was taken if he felt time was up. Not sure where it was but a referee blew for full time as the losing team were about to take a corner last week.

What's 94 mins 37 seconds if it's not well into the 95th minute then?

Half way through the 94th minute. I know we round up after the 30sec mark so it is 7 secs over that mark. Hardly well into the 95th minute is it.

Of course not and you wouldn't hear anyone say that either. You would hear and read on commentary that they have scored within 10 secs of the match. The score board would have to show 1min because they don't have another way of showing the scoring.

Edit: a human being isn't a score board and can accurately see the time. Therefore Pulis is wrong for saying it was well into the 95th minute

It's nothing to do with rounding up nunbers though. It's just simple English language.

If I was 31 today I'd be starting my 32nd year on earth.

The first minute of a match is from 00:00 to 00:59. The 90th minute is from 89:00 to 89:59. So the 95th minute is from...?
