Anybody see the ITV news tonight, and see when they were doing a bit about England fans, two of them held up a massive England flag, with Watford on it :D

They need to win and rely on other results. If the other match is a draw those teams will go through and France will go home. It's not like we've seen engineered results before though is it?

I think they will be playing to lead the group to get the easier game, so it won't be an engineered draw.

It's always a possibility, but our group is hardly far from over is it...

We'll see how tonight goes first I guess...

So nearly half way through the group stage and Nigeria look like they are going to get the booby prize as the only team to have lost twice.

    GO PARAGUAY!!!

Great start to the tournament... 1-1 draw with the World Champions, and a solid 2-0 win over Slovakia. Marching on to the 2nd Round with New Zealand to play in the final group game...and Santa Cruz played 90 minutes :)

Anything other than winning it is falling below expectations. Winning the World Cup is a must if the Paraguay coach hopes to keep his job. Anything less, and it will be seen as a national failure.

Paraguay - FIFA WORLD CUP Champions 2010... you read it here first. ;)

A win's a win, but I thought the Oranje should have beaten Japan with more goals. That's not a good sign, but on the other hand...with England struggling, France exploding, Italy stuck in a ditch, the Houdini act the Africans are playing, and I'll go ahead and say it Maradona in control of Argentina, obstacles seem to be jumping out of their way.

I still think Brazil will win with The Netherlands my dark horse.

Wow, after 3 strong halves of football against top sides, North Korea really put that extra effort in to get you those 250 'orns.

    Bugga it

I was hoping the Spanish were going to do to Honduras what the Portugese did to North Korea, they certainly had enough chances to do it, but they let me down

Those 250 orns are looking good for you Ben :forehead:

You guys may as well not bother, if Paraguay beat New Zealand tomorrow, there's no stopping them... going all the way to Soccer City.
