Far as I understand, I'm actually going to this one. Yippee-ki-yay. Hope it's worth paying a second time for a televised game, and the possible journey back to Norfolk in the aftermath
I hear the dog is claiming it was attached by a gang of chickens while on a peaceful stroll and acted in self defence. It brought one of the assailants home to ensure the police could identify, prosecute and cook the gang (30 mins, gas mark 5).
Lose this, don’t sign anyone & Duxbury to tell French there wasn’t any value in the market at such a late stage in the window. If I could stick money on it, I would.
So how is the occasion being marked at the game? I presume something along the lines of 100 tap dancing bears dressed in the third kit backing Mooney as he sings 'Don't go breaking my heart' as a duet with Emma Saunders?
Each of the ever-present Upper GT supporters will be given a garland of flowers to mark their centenary of Vicarage Road attendance. They may even murmur in response, which I'm told is a sound last heard in the 1970s and so mournful it brings grown men to tears. It's either that or PYRO, PYRO, PYRO!!!!!
Yep. I listened to RE on club's Twitter, Manaj out for some time(not a huge miss tbf), but Davis isn't ready yet. No TDB, Cleverley, Louza or Ngakia either. Hause isn't ready yet as well. Maybe I missed someone. Louza and Davis are big misses. Edit: Kalu not fit either
With Manaj out I probably take it's just Bayo up top on his own? Or Edwards knows he's gash and puts JP in his place. Our squad is thinner than toilet paper.
He didn't really say he isn't available to start, but he said that Hause and Davis didn't feature properly yet but they are "getting there" (which sounds to me like neither of them will start) and then he says it will be too soon for Davis. So, I believe Hause may be on the bench, but I very much doubt he'll start. Davis will be out of the squad I think. Others I mentioned are definitely not featuring.
Big game for Edwards tonight, a loss and a poor performance will start to heap on the pressure, regardless of what Dux said at the beginning of the season.
Bachmann (GK) Hause (CB) Sierralta (CB) Cathcart (CB) Sema (WB) Kamara (WB) Kayembe (CM) Choudhary (CM) Asprilla (CM) Sarr (F) Pedro (F)
Don't think 5 at the back will work for us until we have a proper RWB and a CB who isn't scared of the ball. 3 CBs who take no part in the game when we have the ball is a waste. I'd play 2 CB and add a CM, esp at home.
Fair points you have made. I'm just thinking in terms of what Edwards might do tonight and coming to the conclusion its wing backs and a lineup i wouldn't mind in those circumstances.
That means bringing in Dan 'The Source' Gosling though. He hasn't looked up to it yet this season though.
A gentle reminder for those using the Shoutbox later to please keep the debate centred on what’s happening on the pitch. However pissed off or frustrated you might get, please don’t let that spill over into personal insults directed at those who have a different view to you. Thanks.
That really does emphasise the weakness of the squad doesn't it? Can't afford to drop a poor CB to strengthen midfield as the only midfield option is Gosling......
Slightly altered after Mooney put his shoulder out in rehearsals. Gino has stepped in to sing the duet now but demanded he be allowed to sing a more authentic tune to wow tonight's crowd. Good news, I have an exclusive, here's a sneak preview.
