We are playing against the slowest centre back we will come up against all season and we've decided to lump it repeatedly down his throat and then to top it off, usher him into our box for a free header. What is Gray doing? A couple of times he's had a chance to turn and run at Mertesacker and he's just played it backwards. Bearing in mind he doesn't even challenge for headers, what's the point of him being there? The stats show that he only challenged for one header the whole half - ok that might not be his forte but at least make it slightly more difficult for the defence to head it away rather than just watching them. We shouldn't be fearing this Arsenal team, if we come out and have a go we can get something from this.
Passing and movement off the ball isn't there. We looked good for about 10 minutes in the middle of the half but didn't create anything. We need to up the game a lot.
Pereyra needs to not be coming out in the second half! He's been woeful! Carrillo and Capoue on please, Pereyra and Mariappa off.
We actually look like the side of last year! Slow, ponderous, zero movement and passing has been sh*t. WE CAN'T PLAY A BACK THREE, IT DOESN'T WORK!!
Difficult one. We don’t need three at the back. Best to dump one of the centre backs and have a real go and lose two or three nil now.
you have to put your best 11 players on the pitch, and there is no way britos, kabasele or mapps are in our best 11, more like our worst 11 change the formation
None of our starting line up were on international duty so they've had two weeks to get drilled playing this new formation. Surely the idea wasn't to smash long balls at Gray and play the ball down the line to Richarlison and Pereyra so they always receive it facing the wrong way? We're really suffering from having no central attacking midfielder today.
Don't understand what Gray is doing. He should be playing on the shoulder and getting in behind Inertisacker. Instead he's dropping deep to find the ball. If we're going to have the front man do that we'd be better off playing Deeney.
Graham Poll saying definitely not a pen, definitely a dive. Bit harsh, it was a soft pen and we were lucky to get it, but I don't think he dived. Bellerin caught him and Rich was going at full pelt.
