Pereyra too, some outstanding moments but didn't add up to a fantastic overall performance we know he's capable of. Doucoure, cleverly, Richy, Deeney, Holebas awesome. Gomes too. Dee-lighted!!
Enjoyable insightful videos. I liked Deeney referring to Richarlison as being only 19 a few times in one clip. Amazing time (again) to be a Hornet. Never dreamed we'd be potentially as good and competitive as in the early 80s again. We've had a pretty good run in terms of football success for a town of our size for which I'm mortally grateful. #lucky fans
Why is it that when a player has treatment on the field he has to leave the field until play resumes then the ref waves him back on, however if he goes off and is substituted then his replacement comes on straight away. that happened when Welbeck went off on 61 mins just before we were about to take either a corner or a free kick! If that scenario is correct than the laws an ass!

I do hope they don’t get rid of Wegner. Apart from Man U at home last season, my 3 favourite wins since we returned to the Prem, have been against Arsenal. I thought the cup win at the Emirates would take some beating, but I think today edged it.

He's started 6 out of 8 games and we're 4th in the league. How have we got into this position if the team is, as you're suggesting, carrying him? Surely a club of our stature cannot afford to have passengers if they are to mix it in the top half? It just doesn't compute.

What a second half! Would’ve accepted a 1-1 result but the last 20 mins was brilliant and I feel we deserved the win. Hardly heard a peep from The Gurners in the second half. Really enjoyed Gomes’ celebration when the second went in. He ran and jumped his way around the half punching the air like a madman. What a character! I’ll miss him when he is moved on. Gonna stay up for MOTD tonight just to be brought back down earth by hearing what a fluke result it was! Having said that, Lineker and co. do like to dig at Arsenal so maybe not. The tactics were totally wrong for Gray. No point lobbing balls up to him as he will never win them in the air like that against the lumbering centre back
Deep joy! Our spirit and endeavour is such a contrast to last season. There was a splendid frozen in time moment when the ball fell to TC and everyone knew he would score,delicious! Ironic that Wenger had such a clear view and opinion of the penalty when for 21 years he has seen sweet Felicity Arkwright. Hail to the lucky socks and lucky,albeit slightly damaged twig!
Those 3 games and the play off final against Bolton are the only times I've hugged the stranger next to me at the football, nice to see they mean as much to someone else.
Funnily enough Cleverleys goal reminded me a bit of The Deeney Leicester goal. Can't compete in terms of uber drama, injustice righted and significance but it was a late minute whack into the net perfectly executed to glorious effect.

Well both Wrighty and Danny Murphy said it wasn't simulation as there was contact, they would both expect a penalty. There won't be a ban.

Strange how the highlights made it look like Arsenal had the best of the play and don’t agree with my memory of the game but the chat afterwards was more Watford positive.... In the first half we didn’t take risks but matched Arsenal and were naive to concede just before half time from a corner. In the second half we were more positive, attacking more as the half wore on. In the last twenty minutes after Deeney came on we really cranked up the pressure on Arsenal, searching for goals. This worked perfectly but this isn’t shown in the highlights.
They had possession and Ozil missed a sitter but no, we were well in control. Unless you're Steve McMannamon, then we were sh!t
Well, other than Richarlison, Deeney made a big difference when compared to Gray. There was a formation change, organisation, tactics and all that. Cleverly was very good, there some Frenchy called Dacoure who was immense, the Arse couldn’t get near him! Holebas made some important challenges as did Mapps. Britos was solid. Bobby P was neat and tidy. But shhhhhhh! It keeps us under the radar (in f*cking 4th place!).
