I have been putting my season tickets up for resale since Norwich. Whether they get sold or not no idea.
Happy getting older day, switch off from football and try to enjoy the rest of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Based on what we've heard about Edwards and seen from his FGR side your first sentence seems to be fairly accurate. I'm certainly hoping it will be the case. However your second sentence - which are these 5 players?! I'm struggling to name any other than perhaps Kamara. "5 new players at say £4mil each" - yeah that would be good but it's about the same amount we've just spent in the summer on promotion to the PL! I'd be pleasantly surprised if we even stretched to one player costing £4mil (especially if that one player wasn't one of Bayat's clients). The squad really does need a clear out and rejuvenating, but it won't be easy doing that while in the Champ on a limited budget. It was clear it needed to happen the summer where we only signed Dawson, Welbeck and Sarr and we've been paying the price ever since.
I’m hopeful for next season, I always say without hope we have nothing and it couldn’t be truer for this utter shambles. I’m pleased with the appointment of Edwards and it shows the hierarchy are at least acknowledging their shortcomings; will it change anything in the long run? No idea but time will tell. In the meantime let’s all cheer on Huddersfield.
I’m not so sure. I’m also happy about the Edwards appointment, yet at the same time I can’t help thinking they’ve just completely run out of ideas and are just trying anything. I’d rather they had a plan and stuck to it like back when we used to have one manager per season, right now it seems like they’re just thrashing around in the dark, lurching from one type of manager to the opposite one.
Our player of the season is someone that arrived 4 months ago and played 15 games….. says it all. Thank god we don’t have to watch that at home anymore until August.
I do, they’re a disgraceful and unprofessional mob who have been half assed all season. No matter the coach or tactics, maximum effort is required and they haven’t delivered that.
Official attendance given is 20,257 but no idea if that's tickets / seats sold, or people through the gate
I only saw the Everton game online mind, but being in the ground today it looked like there where more fans there today. It was noticeable on the way to the game and outside the ground that there was alot less people than normal. The official attendance given out at the end was twenty thousand and something as it includes season tickets. Looking around the ground in the first half, I would say the attendance was closer to 15k. I left at the final whistle and it seemed that most people did likewise. Couldnt have been many left for the players lap around the pitch. There was a chant about Hodgson being a ****, followed by a half hearted chant of Duxbury out which fizzled out pretty quickly.
They count all season ticket holders I think. No way 20k! Looked like the players had to be told to stay on the pitch and clap by staff at the end . Roy and Ray didn’t bother .
Absolutely baffling that Roy didn't give any of the academy players a run-out in either games. Why didn't we get rid and put the academy boss in charge for the last few games? Couldn't have done any worse.
Do you really think we are spending a similar level of transfer fees to this Premier League season in the Championship, when we have hitherto spent 0 pence at that level? Pozzo will offer a few Udinese loans or freebies, some other freebies and some random recalled loans to piece together a squad. Our owners are player traders who own a couple of clubs. The clubs exist as a shop window for some of those players. That's it. Gino Pozzo has no desire to see Watford be any more successful than to be in the best position to punt his players to the best audience. That's why his ownership has turned absolutely toxic and won't change, because his motivations won't change.
I think the problem is those who are actually passionate about the goings on at the club are staying well away! It's just the cuck's now. The sort that bring vegetables to football matches and have their photo taken with it.
Read someone say they enjoyed it on Wednesday because the “yobs stayed away “ so you might have a point .
Troost Ekong called them together. Kabasele (supposed man of the people) stood chatting to his Belgian teammate rather than join in. They walked halfway round the ground then pottered off down the tunnel. It was pretty lane as you'd expect. Personal highlight Ben Foster blowing kisses to the Rookery - I think a more damming anti Roy sentiment you are unlikely to see. Leicester fans had one poor chap have a medical emergency at 1 - 1. The abuse some of their fans gave the medics was disgraceful.
The last bit is sad . Foster was probably waving to his mates in the Rookery. WTE is probably one who does care but unfortunately isn’t very good as a footballer .
Good times. Just the good old fans who who enjoy 11 home defeats in a row. 8 home points all season, zero effort from the players, complete disrespect from the club and applaud at the end of it. As long as the top top fans I follow on twitter have a direct line into the club, I know that my voice is being heard.
Yep. Shame about WTE. In fact, he, Cleverley and even Cathcart have never given less than required in effort, but none of them should still be at the club based on ability. Meanwhile many others are plenty good enough to play for a 16th in Prem side, but give zero ****s about capitulating. They think they'll move on and it will be alright, but that compromised spirit is why they'll never achieve the heights. See Doucoure and Richarlison for proof.
Played alright going forward. Hit the bar and their keeper pulled off a few worldies. Defensively absolutely the worst I've ever seen. Four gift goals. Unreal shitttyness
Definitely, the only possible advantage we might have going into next season is that we might not have half a season with irreplaceable players unable to play
I don't share your optimism. Edwards could just be an appointment due to our whacky past managers from overseas. Pozzo wants to be seen as doing something. A leopard never changes its spots
Most goals conceded at home in top flight history. Most consecutive home defeats in top flight history. Most home defeats in top flight history Our worse ever points return in the top flight Most consecutive defeats to one club Joint lowest home points total in top flight history Yet we’re still above Norwich!!
