I'd take a scrappy win, a hard fought draw or even an unlucky loss as long as we played well and showed effort. Second half against Swansea was better than what we have seen recently. but this side or so inconsistent in mentality and focus (stems from VI) that you never know what Watford will turn up. That is part of a list of reasons we are where we are, along with a lot more obvious ones.

Last year there were 3 teams on 32 points in this moment (qsf quote). Wigan only got 7 more and ended on 39. But the other two scored at least 12 more points and it was reading who flopped. Although I think points deduction maybe involved. Given there are 7 points between us. 2 wins is enough. 1 win probably enough and 4/5 points almost certainly enough. I'd like to think we can win today, then see a more relaxed team play better in an end of season spirit with the weight of the world off them. We will probably lose and scramble 3 or 4 draws and survive by a whisker.
If you play with the right spirit with commitment and passion whilst trying to score goals and creating chances, great. Don't mind a narrow defeat as you think "if we keep this up the results will come". In fact before Christmas this is exactly what we were doing but in my opinion VI tried to make us more solid and definitive - but only succeeded in wiping out the fun. However not at this stage of the season. We need points. 1-0 win from Raj's backside please.

Yeah that looks very possible. Only thing was Chak did his best work running through the middle In transitions in mid-week so was thinking / hoping he’d be used that way. Looks like on paper all width comes from the full backs
Agree about the Chak Attack down the middle. I also would prefer Aprilla in the middle too. Dennis too (which is happening) I guess the problem is that the only other winger options are out of form Sema and Martins and Ince.
Look forward to seeing our boys react from Dean Austin’s messages. No doubt Val has used that to inspire his pre match team talk and our boys will come out to prove Austin completely right.
