Unfortunate for QSF that Dawson got injured and Kabasele foolish last game. Meant we lost the solid 3 central defenders to keep em out. Back to being jelly at the back. But it goes back last 3 seasons for not investing well in defenders ultimately. Too much spent on young attacking talent for the future. Trouble is we ain't got a future in this league by the look of it. People can blame the manager's all they want but current squad has fallen behind the rest.
We were comfortable defensively until Dawson had to go off (albeit while remaining toothless in the final third). Not surprising a back three of Mariappa, Cathcart and Masina crumbled. Is surprising that Dawson was holding it all together.

Firstly, Dyche is a **** for telling his players to make us attack the Rookery 1st half, incredibly disrespectful. Secondly, two of their players took Dawson out the game using their elbows, neither were booked. Dirty bunch of bastards! Now on to our lot. QSF won’t survive this defeat. The players haven’t helped him, putting in another gutless performance. Doucoure, Holebas, Hughes and Gray need dropping permanently. Kiko who is usually crap played ok. Gerry D had his hot game at Norwich, Will now be **** for the next four. I’ve fallen out of love with this team, would like to see some of the kids brought into the first eleven
The kind of game that just sums up where our season is heading. Well on top for the majority of the game in terms of possession and attacking intent. Lose another player to injury in the first half - that’s six games in a row now - when he’s actually performing really well. Manage to waste every decent opportunity we carve out either through selfishness or a total lack of composure The penalty incident is just an absolute perfect picture of our season. Cathcart inexplicably lets the ball bounce, Foster sprints out when there’s no need at all, and even though we get lucky, we’re able to give away a penalty after the usual indecisive defending at the subsequent free kick. The only thing that would have made it better was us scoring the equalizer and then having it pulled back for a penalty. Burnley are a horrible, nasty team. Just constant shithousing and we’re unable to capitalize against a team there for the beating. The most disheartening game in a season of constant disappointment. We’re done. Absolutely done. The ineptitude so far this season is sickening.
Fair enough. We now need to try and cash in during January before relegation. Have a solid financial footing at least for next season.
Came into this one feeling cautiously hopeful. But that was bad. Really bad. Any cohesion we had as a team totally fell apart in the second half. It was just bloody awful to watch. QSF out then, I assume. So who's next? I'm going to pretend that football doesn't exist for the rest of the weekend.

How can your sole redeeming quality be your defensive aptitude as a coach yet we concede three at home to Burnley? I am absolutely fuming tonight that's the worst result of the season. Doomed. Burnley came and cloggered. Time wasting from 1st minute going down easy. Defending in numbers. When we needed to match them and get stuck in play them at their own game we never we retaliated and got drawn into it. Giving stupid amount of silly fouls away. Made it easy for Pope as final third we lacked ideas. Crumbled at the back and when your at the bottom you don’t get any luck. Marco slither might be back at the helm by next weekend. Dean Austin accepted my LinkedIn request a few weeks back so I sent him a message pitching myself. Read and no reply. Decided to catch his attention another way so did an analysis (that took me 12 hours to do!) of Burnleys corners and sent it to him at the start of the international break. Read it, no reply. I flagged everything Burnley did for the first goal and gave suggestions to stop it. Super pissed off now.
Don't make excuses for Flores. We're better than this. You make your own luck, and he's nothing but a negative POFS.

As hard as it is to admit, I thought we played OK first half. It was pretty even and we had a lot of the ball. Delafoo could of put us in front right at the end but good save from Pope. Erm, that's it for positives. That second half was pathetic. Their first goal, good defending originally from the drive, but a total switch off in defence allows a sort of "hooked in" goal. As soon as that went in, the lad sat next to me turned to me and said "Game Over". He was right. Deeney comes on for useless Gray and I cannot fault his effort but he was coming into a team that is so defeatist when they go a goal down that it is going to be our end in this league. Clear penalty for their second and I knew he was going to score as soon as he stepped up. Third goal was the icing on the cake and after that it was difficult to know where to look. I went into this game a bit confident that we might get something out of it, we started to pass the ball a bit and although it was a dour first half I feel we probably edged it. What the hell did QSF say at half time? That was not the same Watford side I saw at the start. Burnley bullied us and as soon as they got their goal, that was it. We did our usual collapse and it was just a mater of time before the flood gates opened. Whatever goodwill the players had two weeks ago has gone now. What a piss poor performance overall. I'm really disappointed today, probably more so than ever this season because for the first time we actually had something to build on. Confidence was there, it had to be. Or so we all thought. Did Gravel Head's team deserve it? Yes. They battled hard and whatever you think about their boring style - it works. And they sussed us out as soon as they got going. I really cannot even pick a MotM tonight, it was pretty shambolic from all of them. QSF does not know what to do especially when we go behind. Heads drop and as per usual we let any hope of a point vanish. I really do think QSF needs to go. He cannot help a sinking ship and maybe beating Norwich bought him time. But that has gone now. But, the problem then is who comes in? We cannot attack as a unit, and our so called stellar defence of late totally collapsed today. Norwich won, Southampton got a point - we got thumped. If Villa get anything from their game then it's over. Yes we go to Southampton next, but I cannot see us scoring there let alone winning. They will be buoyed by performances recently in general and will look at Saturday night as three points. We cannot keep on playing so badly especially at home. QSF tried his best with a awful squad of half-arsed players. Credit to him for attempting to halt our slide. With Lesta, Liverpool and Palace to come, we might be well cut adrift by Xmas. The fact is that the players don't want to play this meek, dismal anti-football. Flores has several talented internationals at his disposal but he's lining us up and sending us out to play like we'd be grateful for a 0-0 draw. It's insulting to players and fans and has barely worked- this would be tolerable if we were eking out 1-0 wins but 3-0 at home to Burnley isn't acceptable. The appointment was the wrong one and we're better cutting our losses than trying to persist. If we're going down let's at least go down in some style instead of watching surrenderball every week.
The ineptitude and frankly, the arrogance, is staggering. Did they have any other attempts on goal besides set pieces? It’s beyond obvious what they were going to come here and do, and yet we looked completely unprepared for it. Honestly, it’s a mercy they aren’t willing to work with you, because you’d be tainted by this horrendous management team.
Shipping 3 goals at home to Brighton, Burnley and Wet Spam. Not an easy feat. Gino should accept relegation now, in writing, based on this alone. I'm a natural pessimist, but this season has far outdone my wildest fears. The club can **** off, if they try any of there usual ********, with trying to sugarcoat what happened today. I'd like to give a shout out to the happy clapper in front of me who said I was too negative for saying the game (not Watford particularly at that point) was pretty **** after about half an hour. He spent the rest of the game having a pop, and making silly comments about my support, much to my amusement. He said I shouldn't bother coming back next week - I pointed out we're away at Southampton. He also asked if I'd been coming for two years. I said nope, since the 90s, and his answer was, "Oooo, the naughty nineties". His pals sitting next to him left on 85 mins, their support beyond reproach of course.
Disagree. Flores didn’t have to bring on Marina to replace Dawson. We could have gone to 4 at the back at home to Burnley instead of playing with 3 wing backs. Flores is totally responsible and so are those who choose to bring him in.
Kind of weird in that I can’t really say any player played badly but we are just so toothless. I can’t stand Burnley. Horrible side. Superb set piece delivery mind, as opposed to ours which look like we don’t even practice on the training ground. Flores isn’t the man to get us out of this. A really poor appointment and the latest in a long line of substandard decisions by Pozzo. I think Sarr looked promising and lively. I’d like to see us play Deeney with Sarr and Delefeou either side of him. We really can’t do any worse and we need to create clear chances.
