Valdes, I've looked his career up and he starts as a youth at Barcelona and then for three years he's in Tenerife. I mean aI like a holiday but that's taking the p!ss.

Chose in what way exactly? We've already got Gomes & I can't see him leaving today. Sign Valdes & then chose who to make 1st choice?

 

Presumably choose who we'd rather be number one and if it's Valdes, do the regular extermination job on Gomes like he never existed.

 

Why would we choose Valdes? There's nothing to suggest Gomes is out of his depth; he dominates his box well, shotstops well and generally looks comfortable. Apart from the Sevilla goal which he really should have stopped and the Cardiff game back in '14 where he ran to punch the ball and was easily beaten at edge of his box from Le Fondre he's been rock solid and nearly PotS.

Every goal scored against us was unsaveable so far; Barkley rocket, Kone perfect finish, point blank Sterling shot and accurate Fernandinho finish.

I don't think there's any reason or actual substance in these rumours.
